Add respawn to sybil while the pop is dead

Lets face it, a populated sybil is in the past and I think we should begin looking into ways to make the experience better for smaller amounts of crewmembers. I am especially talking about antags who feel like they cant do anything hostile when there are so few people to kill. I also am talking about nonantags who want to create conflict amongst themselves on a vastly depopulated station but are scared to. Crew being able to respawn after 0 510 15 20 minutes can help tremendously with getting back into the round, especially helpful when one of the 4 people didn't go medical doctor (but with the aforementioned timer before being able to so their job content isn't necessarily taken away).

The intended goal of this suggestion is to offer an incentive to play on LRP even when there are only 7 people on, and to not be discouraged when you roll antag and only see a few crewmembers on. promote faster gameplay. I dont think we would lose much by trying it, and im sure the shaft miner mains would enjoy it at the very least.

Also the 10 minutes is arbitrary ofc

Id be down to clown with trying this out, If people abuse it- it can always be reported.

what if we readded cloning to sybil instead.
I like cloning.
respawning would be nice however.

If we added cloning the clonebay would be camped by tidebro #98237 when he rolled antag. I like respawning since it sends you back to the title screen to grab a new character on some new life rule shit a lot.

I wish we had a cooler system for getting people back into the round. Latejoins are kinda dull as is.

Did you know that cargo can order reviveable dead bodies that pull ghosts into the round? It's a totally IC way to get more people back into play. I don't know if people are using it that often.

On terry, there were some players trying to play around this mechanic early after implementation, but barely anyone would take the rolls, so it was just a waste of time for nothing.

Yeah, I think its not really a great “hook” to get you into the story.
Kinda like if you were joining a new TTRPG capaign and the GM introduces you to the party with a “you show up.”

less people means less hands to juggle this. it's also not guaranteed to actually pull someone, especially when population is lower and thus less people are probably dead

We have elected to enable respawn on Sybil until such time as the population recovers. The parameters will require you to respawn as a different character and will be available after 20 minutes of death.

Please remember that a new spawn as a new character is a new life, all the usual rules apply, name should be different, a clean slate, a new life, not just going and picking up your old body and carrying on.
