Why should this appeal be accepted?:I forgot to turn my vpn off and went to play after a while i was just met with a ban evasion ban i would be thankful if someone could shed some light on this

Looks like BYOND may occasionally calculate a CID for you which matches the one this player was banned under.

I lost my character and some other things is that supposed to happen?I still have playtime and the other stuff so its not that important just wondering

We recently had a fatal storage failure on Terry that caused issues with the server and some backups. Playtime and stuff is stored in our central database so stuff like playtime will have survived, but your preferences will probably have been nuked by that and you'll need to redo them and remake any characters you had before as best you can.

On the bright side, the new Terry server box is supposedly running super smooth with upgraded hardware.

I've got it on good authority that it now works up to 21 minutes. That's a 5% improvement. Unbeatable.

(Depends on pop count, but I've heard Terry can be smooth up to 70-80 pop now so I'd expect atmos has more breathing room to work with the improved hardware before it chokes up and dies)

Atmos choking is less a hardware issue (though it is that too) and more population nuking excited groups with airlocks. I need to implement airgroups
