MOUTHWASHING
A new narrative game form "wrong organ" the developers from behind How Fish is Made.
Its about 2 and a half hours long, and filled with all the surliest horror that you would expect from How Fish is Made.

Sci-fi setting, following the crew of a freighter stranded in space with little hope of rescue. Light gameplay elements, but mostly just storytelling.

Try it out if it sounds up your alley.

i haven't played it yet, it's on my wishlist, but from what ive seen, the horror reminded me of that of Psychopomp, which i think you would like if you liked Mouthwashing!

edit: okay i played mouthwashing, it was very good, it wasn't like Psychopomp at all but you should still check it out

Having watched people play a decent amount of this game, it's got an amazing story. I think there was some missed potential in that the scanner codes could have been used for branching storylines where you unlock things early in future playthroughs, but it's not necessary and it would probably make that cool narrative slightly less so.

I think it's funny how Jimmy's Steam trading card is universally sold at cheaper prices than all of the other character cards. What did they mean by this?

Anyways, I liked how the ending made Jimmy out to be the clear victim of this whole story. He had to persevere with the guilt of his mistakes, bear the burden of helping Curly in his times of need when nobody else would, and keep the crew together when all was lost. Even after persevering as the brave man he truly was, he sacrificed himself to spare Curly. Jimmy was truly the most selfless character of the entire story.

this is definitely a rhialscore game, i haven't played it but i've seen the trailers and i can sense its aetherial essence (i am a starborn one from the highvoid)

I was obsessed with the tagline of "I HOPE THIS HURTS" when I first played it. I love media that makes me feel, and I love love LOVE it when a game goes the extra mile to twist the knife. This one twisted the knife. Highly fucking recommend for any who haven't played it, don't look a damn thing up and close your eyes when you type in the credit card details to buy it so the steam page doesn't reveal anything. Also ignore my breathing while I watch you and copy down it all from right behind that's like. just a thing I need for a school project.

i was lucky enough to play it blind and it was a great time on vc with friends
my power went out in the middle of it though and i couldnt finish it for 3 days
