Why are you making this appeal?:
The ban was unjustifiably harsh

Why should this appeal be accepted?:
This isn't a pattern of behaviour, it's one sentence I absolutely should not have said. Thrown out absentmindedly upon seeing that the AI was called "Overwatch", in an attempt to start up some friendly banter, no malicious intent, not targeting any player, but still extremely insensitive and completely fucked up hence my agreeing to never say anything like it again. This was a once-off fuck up. That time I was spoken to before was specifically about my verbally abusing a player I was in an IC conflict with (I still consider that player to have been meta-bullying me, but my response was to viciously verbally abuse them in return and I was spoken to about it) that's way behind me and I've behaved myself in that regard since. A permaban is a seriously disproportionate response to this incident. I'd understand a week-long ban, but this is not something to eject me from /TG/ over. What I said was completely fucked and has no place here, which is why once it was brought to my attention in the admin PM I immediately committed to never saying anything like it again. I (like to think I) always try my best to act in good faith and co-operate with admins, and (like to think I) am generally a good fit for this server. Today's incident has killed a lot of goodwill (goodwill which I always assumed there was) and I definitely have to work to gain that back, please just don't completely lock me out for 12 months if this appeal is denied (the prospect of this appeal being denied is unthinkable to me but I don't know what to expect). In the event that this is denied I request that the ban be amended to say something to the tune of "the one-appeal-per-12-months limit is lowered to once per month if you have a vouch", but it would be ideal if instead I could be given the chance to stay on this server and win back that goodwill on some sort of probatory period.

all 3 members of the current outgoing headmin team (and 2 of the incoming headmins, one of them didn't respond) supported this ban after reviewing your history and speaking to the admins involved with placing your previous sanctions over the past few months. this was more or less the final straw because it feels like you aren't making any progress toward adapting your playstyle over issues you've been spoken to about numerous times, and it's been determined that you're becoming a detriment to the server.

we'd like you to play somewhere else for a substantial amount of time and return with a vouch to prove to us that you can play here without continuing to impose a negative impact on the rounds you join.

The player reached out to me to ask when they may re-apppeal.

The current headmin team have decided that the standard 12 month re-appeal limit applies, but they may instead appeal earlier than 12 months if they can obtain a vouch from another server with 100h of living time with no notes or bans in that time.
