This is a note appeal to hopefully reduce the severity of my ONLY note from high severity to medium severity after a year of good behaviour and no further notes from any admin.



I am following this guide-line:

The note's contents or existence is unjustifiably harsh to the player's standing in the eyes of admins reading the notes.

Notes that contain admin opinions that unfairly paint the player in a bad light are one example.
Emphasis on the phrase "unfairly". If you're repeatedly a shitter and an admin calls you a shitter in a note just take the hint and improve on not being a shitter

I am not disputing the note itself. What I did was wrong and it did affect 6 people's round which I am sorry for and it did disrupt Cheshify's event. Which I do regret.

What happened: Admin was running an event next to the holodeck, as a non antagonist I stupidly, stupidly pressed the 'burn chamber' button on the AI holodeck and caused a fire. I was stupid and didn't realise that the effect of the fire was going to be some extreme and I basically ruined shit for people. To be honest I don't even know why I did it. Curiosity maybe?

I immediately outed myself as the one who did it (in the clusterfuck of people stood around randomly pushing buttons on the holodeck). I did this both IC'ly and via admin contact. I basically handed myself into security then messaged Cheshify to tell him not to bother going through the logs, it was me who did it and I am sorry.

Chesh did warn me it was a stupid thing to do but I believe they appreciated my honesty and basically warned me not to be so stupid. Which is advice I have taken on board ever since.

Since 2023 I have played regularly, if not every day, then at least several days a week (excluding the odd break here and there). Since then I think I've ONLY ever had one admin since question me on something which didn't result in a note. I have had a clean sheet since the incident and have learned my lesson not to accidentally grief/press random buttons.

I am not asking for the note to be removed, but I am asking for the severity of the note to be reduced.

I hope my track record of consistent good behaviour and no further notes besides this ONE note I have is proof enough I am not a griefer and I respect the rules/admins etc. I really enjoy playing on Manuel and I don't want one stupid incident last year to be a judgement on an otherwise consistently clean record.

Would a note severity reduction be an option?

This note is so old that it won't even be taken into consideration, and note severity has even less basis for admin action.
Though full honesty my first thought was "no you ruined my goku event >:("

My only worry was that an admin will see a 'high rating' note and think this guy is a griefer. But fair enough and thanks for responding, you've reassured me somewhat.
If nothing else, I hope behind the scenes admins can see who the real griefers are compared to those who made a stupid decision/mistake.

Also yeah, sorry for ruining your Goku event, that was indeed shitty of me, but you've been cool with me ever since, so I assume you didn't take it too personally :)

No worries if nothing gets changed anyway. Can't blame a dude for trying though :)

If nothing needs to be changed then, you may now close the thread. Peace.

I do not think any admins are going to see a note from 2023 and go "hey look a griefer", especially when the note says you were apologetic.

Anyways sure I'll drop the severity if it bothers you
