Kingsman: The Secret Service

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
THIS MOVIE
It's blatantly the effort of someone who was been watching modern action/spy movies and misses the old James Bond crazy hijinks days. Imagine the crazy gimmicky badguys with steel teeth or razor sharp hats, the crazy doomsday plots to destroy the planet, the over-the-top gadgets, but combined with modern moviemaking, budgets, and fight choreography.
This shit is fucking GOOD.
It's also
incredibly fucking violent. Surprisingly so. The old James Bond movies had some wacky comic deaths (people getting sliced up by lasers or falling into shark tanks) and this has stuff like that but also just is not afraid to kill people off and throw a bit of gore in your face to show off.
That fight scene in the church holy shit.
Holy shit. One of the best fight scenes I've ever seen.

It is a goodun. I'm not sure where they could go with a sequel (likely to happen) so now I am sorta filled with dread.

Before the climax, what happened to the other Kingsmen?

I watched it in China and they censored the church scene. It cut right before he shot the first woman, only showed the onlooking character's reactions, and then cut right to where he walked out of the church, all bloody. What happened in there had to be inferred rather than explicitly shown to us, which was kind of cool in it's own way.
Also Gazelle was very nice to look at.

I watched it yesterday. Taron Egerton is pretty good looking.

FUCK.
THAT.
You should get your hands on it just to watch that one scene. You got robbed.

I watched it later on youtube.
It was certainly horrifying, but I felt it still could have worked either way.

Love it, it and John Wick are two of the coolest homages to action movies that I've seen in a long time

John Wick was fun.
Shallow as fuck but well choreographed and it hinted at some cool stuff going on in the world. The potential for a sequel that explains more of the economy behind the gold coins and the power structure for all these assassins and shit would be neat.
It's canon in the Payday universe, apparently.

Johnny the Wick 2 apparently got greenlit. So yeah I'm down for learning about coins.
Still need to see Kingsman, which I'm pretty sure it was something I wanted to see since last year.

Saw this a while back, it was a FANTASTIC film. The end scene was kind of tacked on, but what the hell.

Just saw this film yesterday. Dats sum guuuud shhhhhiiiiiiit. Makes you want to buy a suit.
Also I liked how the villains plot was felt like it was lifted from a script I wrote some years back, I mean I know it's not but damn it felt similar.

Samuel L Jackson's character in this reminds me a lot of his character from Unbreakable.
Different characterization but very similar motivations and self-awareness.
