Let Ai's on intellicards be transferred to an MMI

The previous version of this thread was lost in the great hackening.
I've always found this wierd. you can change between jobs, change species, go from a human to an MMI to a borg, then go back to an MMI then a human. However, if you go from an MMI to an AI, you can't go back, ever.
I think that it should be possible to take a carded AI and transfer it onto a brain somehow. Possibly via an advanced writable MMI.
Basically, it would go like this. You would stick a blank monkey brain into the advanced MMI, then you slot an intellicard into it. The MMI would wipe the AI from the card, and then it would be transferred to the brain.
I'm not sure how traitor status would be handled though.
Thoughts?

Why would you want a bound AI to become (essentially) human again? Would be really confusing for round start AI's, who would they even be?

Any more confusing than for roundstart borgs?
"Default borg 435" isn't exactly a human name

Good point. Hmmm. I wonder if this will screw any loop holes or anything for a malph/traitor AI though?

If a traitor AI is put in a brain, it should gain a kill objective on whoever put it in there, and the Die Gloriously finisher.

I would rather let AIs be mech pilots! (
I totally rough-coded it too!). Anyway, there are sprites for an intelicard to MMI and back machine. It does not make much sense in my opinion, as AIs are pure data (else you could not put them on a card or be downloaded to an APC) whereas borgs are brains. I would not be against the idea, though.

See, I disagree with the idea that AIs are pure machines, because they're literally an MMI wired into a computer. The construction stages make it pretty clear the MMI takes most of the space, and that's really useless if an AI is pure data.

I like to think it's a *Hyunae style deal.
Brain's Personality is uploaded and converted into data, then the brain is wiped and used as a secondary processor.

Brains are awful processors, they've got millions of years of evolution guiding them to focus on and only on sex, food, and violence. Oh, and also breathing. If anything, that sounds like how you get malf AIs.
"whoops carl we wiped the brain, it's down to basic functions"
"Who cares, they won't spot the difference"
"I AM NOW BREATHING MANUALLY. DIE"

I want this so bad. Imagine being a traitor and subverting the AI with a "You must become human" law, or getting that law from an ion storm. It'd be hilarious.
Also it'd play into my
suggestion on changing how laws work really well, but that's not really that necessary.

AIs can fit on an intellecard and function, what does that mean?

People can have their souls put in a magic crystal, can be reincarnated in a dozen ways, can be turned into sentient goo, can be turned into a hostile robot instantly by a box which looks exactly like an airport X-Ray scanner, can haunt people and suck out their souls, and can come back to life only if their physical real soul is in their body. Their bodies can be warped and mutated between alien lizards, sentient plant, and human in a matter of second with no side-effects after taking a simple potion.
But woe betide that consciousness going on a computer, oh no no no. That's just so unrealistic!

It's magic, we don't have to explain it.

Malf AI status wouldn't be an issue, because I'm fairly certain malf AIs cannot be carded. If someone decides to human a traitor AI, that's kinda their fault, since they can see the law 0.
I always saw the AI data as a virtual network of neural pathways, simulating a brain. Making an AI maps those pathways and translates them into a data form. To human the AI, you burn those pathways to a new brain.
