Nearly a decade has passed.

I based an entire satirical persona around telling you what would happen, I wrote paragraph after paragraph, meticulously crafting such a lengthy and obfuscated web of nuanced interpersonal relationships in hopes that the collective group of you would become aware of the slow internal rot you were facing. The joy you felt that you feel no more, the high you're chasing of rounds played long ago, on stations long since abandoned, with features long since removed, all washed away to the blistering sandstorm of cultural degeneracy.
You have befallen a horrible fate, yet you are not responsible, I am.
I could have said more, perhaps even done more, perhaps even appealed to more masses, been slightly less derisive, giving me the ability to score the ever so slightly higher vote count necessary to secure the headminship.
I could have done more, and I failed you, and for that I am eternally sorry. I can only hope that the shell of what you once were can find its way back to the light.

I'm not sure how you could have ever imagined people able to construct such a large web of commitments with each other
honestly as someone who has been here for a good while: the side that you're arguing for seems almost laughable
