Yea really. Game just doesn't feel the same anymore when most of the people I used to enjoy playing with no longer play. And the guy isn't wrong about the rules bloat either, I joined the community while it was already an issue so I haven't felt it until the last couple years, feels like the rules page doubled in size lol.

Plus like someone else in the thread said, feels like the games meta has been solved. Especially after spending a ton of time as an admin and some time going through the code, I know (knew at this point seeing as its been a couple years) how everything works. That's just the nature of having over 2000 hours in the game though, and why I've mostly moved on besides a couple rounds every few months. I figure if I give it a couple more years, the game will have changed drastically enough for me to have to learn everything again.

the rules "bloat" is due to an ever growing population covering more and more people.

In the olden days it was mainly /tg/ tards and other 4channers so in some way they loosely shared some common ground in which some rules could be less written and you had to adapt.

When you have a lot of people with a lot of different mindsets but want to nail some things down as not acceptable then you obv got to make the rules longer. Personally i dont find that an issue because Id rather the rules be long than someone get banned because they didnt view it in the same light.

I think part of this if you find it a problem is also admin side, headmins could have accepted the ruling without adding it to the official rules (assuming the rule is added because an admin enforced it and the guy goes "where is it in the rules???").
