You never answered this question, by the way. The dick waving was really annoying. You need some sort of positive benefit to come out of this. Are you hoping karma will encourage people to provide feedback for each other? It does, but it's not really good feedback because you only have up-down and as reddit has shown us many times, people tend to downvote stuff because they disagree, not because it was bad. People downvoted their killer all the time. That's not useful feedback in any way.

It was a harmless mechanic that let you know round to round if you made enough of a difference to a person for them to take the time and give/take karma. Dont pay attention to karma in the long run because that isnt what matters. No it wasnt the best judge but most of the time if you ask "How did I do" you will get seven joke answers to one good one.

Three reasons why it should be brought back.
1. It is a tiny harmless feature for players to mess with.
2. It gives you a quick, if not overly accurate, assesment of how you are doing round to round
3. People enjoyed it.

The reason I didnt make this a serious request is that it was removed "Because it is useless!". Who gives a fuck if its useless when many people actually liked/cared about it but that didnt matter. It was pulled and no one stopped it.

Sec wasn't, so neg rep became a badge of honor for sec officers to bare

I never used the system personally, but to me it seems like an unnecessary game feature. All it will be is some for of circle jerk or backhanded way to spite someone that's screwed you over in game (Because even the most calm of people can get incredibly frustrated when then get dunked by a RNG disarm). I'm not sure it will truly reflect what kind of a player someone is at any rate.

And like Violaceus said, sec will get it even hard in the neck than they already do.

Karma also is stupidly problematic when you remember that you are basically punishing and rewarding behavior among other players. Being an antag or sec tends to reduce your karma when you are doing what you should. When we had it karma was such a joke people took pride in trying to make sure it was negative, as your absolute value was more important to determine how much people like you.
