Force a new trait onto Moths

With some peoples urge to bring realism to Moth people, why not meet half way, one that doesn't force moths to charge into light sources, yet still hampers them?
Being around light will give Moths positive Mood
Being away from light/in the dark will give Moths massively negative Mood

as a part-time AI player I want to be able to trap all moths into one room, turn off the surrounding lights and watch them fall into madness
