Your side of the story: Shitler for the past two wizard rounds has been making 20 firebombs and utilizing them around the station, bragging about it in OOC / complaining that they didnt get to use them all. Found them 3rd round in a row, and decided to handle it myself. They hadnt yet used any fire bombs themself this round, and I was prepared to fix the hull (which I started to do) and heal everyone involved (including the shitler, which I did, in order to warn them after cloning that shit like that was annoying). I was banned before I could continue fixing the hull and area. I handled it myself because I knew that if I ahelped saying "hey this person INTENDS to be shitty, do something" it would be labeled an IC issue and nothing would happen. They would then use 20 firebombs and not get ahelped so long as no one died. Annoying and shitty, and acting after that ahelp of IC issue would cause even more problems.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I feel that it was within my limits to do something to prevent terrible behavior for the third round in a row. Going through an admin and asking them to punish someone who hasnt yet done anything would be dumb, going to security would also accomplish nothing for that same reason and for incompetence. I fully healed every person involved, and was working on fixing the hull breech that occured when both welder tanks and my grenade exploded (a basic water potassium grenade, not huge, very easy to fix.) At most, I would expect a note for an admin with a stick in their ass that day. I feel a day ban to be inappropriate, especially considering no one was removed from the round and the hull breech was patched within the minute, only minor hull fixes and light fixing left to do.

Our rules on metagrudging don't really change much even if the guy is shitty. You had no IC reasoning to believe he had firebombs so the welderbombing was for no IC reason which is bad. You should've adminhelped it or waited until you saw him with a firebomb to fuck him up.

He had already made a firebomb, and had empty cans, igniters and cable coil stacks. Also seeing as IC anyone can create a firebomb, anyone would know those are the ingredients for one. He also had two welder fuel tanks as an assisstant, which is sus on its own.

Speaking personally here, if you ahelped that a shit head was purposely throwing firebombs across multiple rounds and bragging about it in ooc, I would probably give him a talking to/note at least. Not ahelping a situation because "the admins would mark it as an IC issue" then immediately going out of your way to metagrudge someone (even if they were being a massive faggot) ain't okay. You could have ahelped at least before jumping to vigilantism, and even then it would still cop you a punishment

In my head it made no sense to ahelp a situation before the dudes made 20 firebombs, and since he hadnt personally wronged me I wasnt considering it metagrudge really. Even now, it doesnt really feel like the term fits. I saw a dude making 20 grenades, and I did him one better, and even cloned him to boot.

I forgot to mention this in teh ticket / when writing this, but I didnt jump to a grenade first, if that matters at all. Logs will support, if not making the chem then throwing the water bottle, that I attempted to use a water bottle of CLF3 first. I filled, heated and chucked one at the welding tanks first, and it had no effect. Then I switched to a water potas grenade. Idk if that matters but yeah

IF someone is being a shit, ahelp them. Do not go out of your way to play IC administrator by fucking them up, as you will very, very likely break some yourself and you will end up punished instead of them.

Don't break rules to stop rulebreakers especially if there's an admin on.
