Your side of the story: I would like to note that it wasn't a ban evasion, I went on a few days ago to get my ban message again for another appeal and found that I was able to connect. I assumed there was some sort of New Year Ban Clearout and went with it. I didn't hide who I was in any way.
Why you think you should be unbanned: It's been five years and I'm a better man. A good man. A man's best friend man. I played for several days without insanely murdering anyone or otherwise fucking anyone over, except one time when I hopped into a giant inferno and killed only myself and some floor tiles. Before anyone comes in and locks this I would like to mention that even Kor and MSO were aware of my existence without banning me, and that jordie told me to go ahead and appeal. Beardbeard - ban evasion + multiple failed attempts at probation

This is the reasoning put down in the blacklist.

This does not seem like something worthy of the blacklist, most other people on the blacklist are on the blacklist for multiple cases of forced erp, doxxing admins, and repeated exploiting the servers for crashing or info leak reasons.

This stands out in a "one of these things are not like the other" sort of way.

I'll ask the oldfags if any know of any other reasons why you are blacklisted but that part isn't likely to stand. you'll still have to win a permaban appeal

For what it's worth I have never ban evaded, I'm not nearly smart enough to know how.

I wasn't evading, that's the account I used to check my ban reason for the last appeal, maybe even the one before that. It was banned before so I figured when it wasn't banned this time it had been removed.

Last time someone went let's unban 2beard what's the worst that could happen quickly found out what the worst that could happen was.

Are you reading anything I'm saying? I was banned on this account last time when I checked to get my ban reason for my appeal, because BYOND bans are hardware and IP bans.

sideburns has no ip or cid connections with beardbeard so i don't know why it would be banned

But let's be honest, how many chances is too many? 2? 3? 5? 24?

If you've had over 20 chances to change and haven't you have forfeited your right to be given another chance.

I almost imagine the blacklisting was an act of pity to try and get you to leave as you should never be unbanned and so there is little point in you hanging around.

Might I suggest you try another server you haven't been permabanned on.

our players here do worse shit than this on the daily and get off for free

our admins throw meteors at the station in 80 player rounds because a config option got disabled

what beard did is nothinng compared to what we allow

THE AN0N3 AMENDMENT:

Adding to/adjusting the definitions so that players can post in a thread regarding something they weren't involved in, IF IT IS TO BRING UP/POINT TO/HIGHLIGHT a rule, precedent, or piece of evidence that was missed that is relevant to the situation.

This does NOT include:
"This happened to me once and I didn't get banned for it" or the reverse "This happened to me once and I got banned for it."
"My opinion is…" or "I feel like…"

This WOULD cover:
"Rule 3 says…"
"These admins have always allowed…"
"Actually in the logs it says…"

This would allow players who are invested in the rules, have the experience, and can conduct themselves well to advocate in threads.

He has been banned so many times nobody actually remembers how many times he has been banned, I think errorage put it at fifty or something close to that. This is the reason he got blacklisted
Either way it was five years ago so it's not really unreasonable to say fuck it and give him another go, the worst that could happen is he creatively griefs the shit out of one round and gets banned for another five years. As I recall the last ban we gave him was for deconstructing the telecomms server room entirely for no reason at all, not really anything on the scale of doxxing or forced erp.

can we just give him like a yearlong probation and permanent watchlisting?
