Divinity 2, that second time you really fucked up

Aight, from what I've heard it plays like the first but with more features. So far i've clocked 20+ Hours and I've gotten gud thus far. It's your standard RPG-tactical vidya with a twist of D&D GM as an extra feature. I recommend getting it because I'm actually putting together a campaign and plan on GM'ing it. I guess I'll put together a different thread on the roleplaying board about it. I'd shill extra hard as I normally do but I'm doing school work at the moment, so deal with it.

Divinity 2 is a very different game from Divinity: Original Sin 2 (as Incomp mentioned).
Great OP buddy. 3/10 for effort.
Re: Divinity 2, that second time you really fucked up
We're going again today at 2pm or so PST. Doing the final boss of Act 1 and whatever we can in Act 2.
Speaking of which, Act 2 is going to take us forever. Not because of the story, you can do the Act 2 story in half an hour, but the sidequests.
Act 1 Quest count: 27
Act 2: 68
Act 3: 20

Just saved that Gwyndn faggot from the black pits last night. That shit was tough. I think I spent a good portion of the fight just trying to heal him and restore his magic armor simply because the stupid fuck kept making a beeline straight into the raging necrofire inferno.

Just finished the game, clocked at 104 hours
the ending gets really janky/buggy/unpolished. It's obvious it didn't get as much dev attention as the rest of the game, but I expect patches to come in soon over time to smooth it out. It was still pretty cool despite my experience being a bit tarnished.
Spoiler:
The only people on my boat at the end of the game was Beast, who was the only person who stuck with me, the succubus and her lover, the ghost of Fane, and Malady. Felt a bit lonely, is there normally more people?
I got really attached to my lizzer and the game's world and now I am left with that empty feeling after finishing a really good game

lol
Spoiler:
I killed the elf girl when I first met her on Fort Joy. She was hostile because I was the Red Prince
I killed Lohse after first meeting Zorl-Stissa because she told me to. Honestly glad I did this because Fane is fucking baller
I killed Tarquin when I met him because he was suspicious af
The seeker captain died during Dallas's attack on the ship
Ifan left me in Arx after I disagreed with him about distributing divinity to everyone
Fane was dead when the last hit on Braccus was made, so he was considered dead at game-end
I was hoping I'd at least see Sadha on the ship

I had a bunch of quests break or NPCs vanish during the last act. Game kept locking up when trying to save as well. Things in general felt more unituitive than previous acts.
Still goty though, was fantastic overall

These are all act 4/Arx spoilers so click at your own risk
Spoiler:
Tarquin yelled at me that I refused to help him find Anathema, despite never giving me the quest to do so in Act 2. I had the pieces of anathema but with no option to turn them in.
The succubus went missing from my boat when I left for act 3, so I was never able to give her the swornbreaker. I got her happy ending epilogue though.
Jahan never showed up in Arx despite me finishing his quest on reapers coast and me killing the demon he was hunting.
Malady never showed up in Arx to help with The Doctor or otherwise acknowledged he was dead.

Spoiler:
I had the succubus at least. None of those other characters showed up for me either. Were they supposed to?
One of the most annoying bugs I had was in the Lizard Consulate. The revenants were essentially immortal, and consistently respawned after death so long as there were ANY cursed fire anywhere in the consulate, including inside walls where you cannot reach it. They even started killing the random citizens outside the building. I just had to stealth/flee/cheese them and skip the whole building.
I found Seheila alive in Arx after she was killed trying to escape the Lone Wolves
The ending journal told me Beast rebelled against me, but in game he was more than happy to follow me. It also said I talked Braccus down, but that didn't bappen, either.
The last boss fight was also incredibly unintuitive i tried 4 different times until I finally figured out all you had to kill was Braccus, and that spending your time killing anything else is pointless as they just respawn full health next turn

STOP EDITING MY SHIT FAGGOT
That's not endgame spoilers. They tell you that you fight other players in the launch trailer.
Spoiler:
>intig decides to betray us at the ending
>we chain stun him
And we still took a group picture together before the credits.

Barely gotten into it but that split party dungeon must be fucking amazing with other players. Well for most of them.
Tempted to go staff rogues and warriors now I notice how many warfare and scoundrel skills can use magical damage types off said melee weapon instead of physical.

Magical damage is pretty straightforwardly worse then physical, though- although many enemies have somewhat lower magical armor than physical armor, elemental resistances, which are extremely common mid to late game, greatly increase effective magical armor, and there is no "physical resistance".

I actually really appreciate their lizard designs. They managed to get the females to look elegant and feminine without using any obvious female parts.
Spoiler:
I also feel really bad about Zorl-Stissa. I was so down with being a holy lizard supremacist, I even agreed to surrender my source when she demanded it in desperation. My party even remarked after the battle (after resurrecting me) that I need to be more careful because they almost lost me.
At least I still got my supremacy ending when I became divine. No mention of the House of Dragons in the epilogue, though
Anyways this all put me in the mood to give DOS1 another stab now that it has an enhanced edition. I played classic but got bored shortly after I finished Act I. I hope it’s improved.

I got his epilogue bit in every ending I chose (except for the bad end obviously). His was like the only quest that didn't break for me near the end

I think pillz is referring to the slide that asks what kind of a divine the RP was if he wasn’t the PC. PCs never get get character-specific slides.
I know there are slides normally mentioning him returning to the empire with or without Sadha otherwise
