this is my first time mapping a station 100%, so if there are any bad practices/it looks like shit please point me in the right direction
anyways, i was originally gonna use transit tubes but because they are a little buggy
and really easy to sabotage
i said no
so now, we are left with the start of the station

i know its small, but its still being worked on

I'm not a mapper but shouldn't you wait to put the piping and power systems in

could be related to pipes existing without anything connected to them
also be sure you're using simulated turfs
edit: like, really, you're best off just not doing wires or piping until the layout is down, trust me

I'd second the suggestion to not finalize areas by doing their atmos/wiring/machines when you haven't mapped out the entire layout. If any area layout ends up being unsatisfactory in your opinion, you'll have to redo all the things you mapped in it which will cost you a lot of time.

But if you ended up not leaving enough space for pipes you will have to remap alot anyways.

The only area's in which that is an issue are the engine, atmos and maybe the toxins mixing lab.
