[nerolat] jdpowercool - Permaban Appeal
Posted: Fri Aug 22, 2014 7:15 am
Byond account and character name: jdpowercool / Roswell Pain (I believe, the ban occurred quite some time ago)
Banning admin: nerolat
Ban reason and length: "Started murderbonering as non-antag as a mime. Killed several people." Perma.
Time ban was placed (including time zone): 2014-04-01 15:03:18 EST
Your side of the story: I logged on April 1st, expecting some kind of insane update that would ruin everything. Of course, there was, and you could essentially click as fast as... well, as you could possibly click. I quickly discovered that I could utilize both a left-click macro and a screwdriver to annihilate a portion of the server and went on a minor killing spree.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I feel that, while my ban's reasoning is quite sound, it occurred during April Fools, a date known to cause troll updates and the like. The update that went through was -excessively- abusable, even for April Fools, and it shouldn't have been a thing in the first place. I'm not attempting to shift the blame, however; I shouldn't have killed the number of people that I did, even in the specific conditions that I was in. It has been four months since my initial ban, and I hope that, while it hasn't been a year, it is realized that the perma was quite excessive for a joke holiday/update's expected events.
