Your side of the story: I was banned for accidently IC in Discord for requesting an admin to hop onto Sybil.
Why you think you should be unbanned: Kor overturned the ban in the discord due to how dumb it was (see my signature). I was hoping to have my note removed as such.

It's pretty hard to accidentally go onto discord, accidentally type information, and then accidentally press enter. Also, a snarky message from an ex-headmin doesn't exactly sound like "overturned".

The ban was overturned early as I logged in about seven minutes before it was set to expire.

As I said in discord, I looked at earlier admin requests made by players to hop onto a server and they oft gave a little bit of information as to why an admin should hop on.

It was an honest mistake and there was no ill intention behind my request. It was not like I was trying to tell everyone to murder some Chaplain because he is a Changeling.

Don't know what to say but I was able to start playing before the elapsed time expired, I was checking the time and I got on before it expired.

Maybe I just screwed up the time.

My appeal stands either way, I believe I was just mistaken and there was no ill intention behind my admin request. Banning straight up for a minor mistake that affected no one seems quite a escalation when a warning and reminder would've sufficed.

Banning for non malicious behavior (he @ the admins so its pretty clear he didnt think he was breaking a rule) when they have never been warned for similar behavior and have almost a spotless record in general is stupid. Could have just asked nicely.

Phrasing the note to make it sound like malicious rule breaking is unfair.

Logging in to ban him for asking for help and then not dealing with the person who was actually griefing is probably the real punchline though

so that's where the signature came from

for people who have never shown malicious intent or have not had a string of unfortunate events involving gross negligence despite warnings, I think it's ok to assume people didn't mean to break the rules and also not to penalize them.

So i'm going to mention here for anybody seeing this thread.

I personally will be dealing with ic in discord harshly.

I don't care what kor or ausops say, bans on both discord and in game will be going out.

This note was lifted for the same reason admins will sometimes let IC in OOC slide because it was due to an honest mistake. Wilful ic in ooc with malicious intent will be punished regardless of medium.
