Space Adventure Ruin

Okay so I once had a round where a pride ruin spawned right next to a space bum beach, so in one of the only occurences in history of someone actually playing as a beach bum I ran straight into the pride ruin and turned into an ayyalloy golem and had a space adventure. Eventually someone else had the same idea and we both met up at the tcomm sat and had an adventure in space, and it was great.
The thrust of my idea is making this an actual space ruin, where a golem ship crashed into an ayy ship, making ayyalloy golems but ejecting most of the contents on both ships. The only way to get anywhere is to jump in a direction and hope you find something, though as a ayyalloy golem you have no air needs and if you take damage you'll heal it up in no time.
Basically:
3 ayyalloy golem spawns on the smashed ship
Very low gear on both ships, a toolbox and extinguisher tops
The idea is to explore and scavenge for gear as a team
If you make it to the station eventually have fun and don't get tazed
Thoughts?

Can we stop adding shit ghost roles or gamemodes on the basis of "I had fun once!"
When will it be the day people take concern and put actual thought on fucking balance.

Do you actually have a balance concern or are you just whining about nothing?
You spawn in a box with a toolbox, extinguisher and all of space around you. Your only redeeming feature is your race, which slowly heals you and gives you a hivemind (if there are any other golems).
Even getting to the station would be lucky, most of the time you just wander in space. And that's the point, trying to explore and find cool stuff to loot.
People have moaned for years about a space explorer job, and this is it.

There's no exploring done because it'll either be the three dumbfucks drifting for half an hour hoping they hit something remotely interesting or them abusing ghost vision to meta where to float for that sick Xd phat loot.
Space in its current state is not built for exploring. Hence why people put GPS units on fucking everything, in the end they're just loot boxes waiting for someone bored enough to pick up the shit.

Good thing you can't ghost meta outside of the z-level because ghosts can't change z-levels via movement.
Also this is easily remedied by giving the golems a GPS.

This would be rejected on the ground that ayylmao golems are very strong and regenerative, and if they at all hit the station, could cause a imbalance and summarily lore obtrusification might mean players will be convinced that they are actually ayy antags and use their abilities to grief generally or steal supplies.
I applaud you D&B, people defend & make ruins off this concept too much, whether it is "I rp'd/gameplayed this certain rare circumstance once" and really if its that inspiring to you, it'd be better if you made or asked people to make your own assets and take it in a original direction rather than just try to force the same set of circumstances again with mapping which might ONLY be fun to you.

Ayyalloy golems aren't really strong though. They regenerate, but that's it. One sec guy with a taser can easily beat the three of them.
Also what, players chimping out at the sight of anything mildly unusual isn't my fault

They also retain golem strength (stunpunches) are fast (from memory may not be as fast as i remember) and space & non breathing.

As a ghost its two, i can confirm because its the action to speed teleport to a location, double click anywhere and you jump there, if said place is the edge of the map the ghost passes over.

Exploring space without a jetpack is torture, your speed is like 1 tile every 2 seconds. Extinguisher is only good for changing direction but doesn't increase your speed. This would be so boring that it would make old space bartender or beach bum look like fucking disneyland.

You don't need a jetpack, golems are entirely spaceproof and can self propel themselves with baseball bats gathered from asteroid sand soil plots to grow towercaps.

Single click.
HOWEVER, double click does teleport you around within the same map.
AND a double click that's not handled usually gets interpreted as a single click (like when you're attacking someone, you're obviously double clicking 90% of the time but you're still hitting them),
AND merely entering a space tile with a z-transition will activate it.

Maybe its related to inquisitiveness checks since i have that & hotkeys enabled on my ghost preferences, if im trying to inspect the exit border im obviously not teleporting there, its always been two clicks to speed teleport anywhere for myself personally.

There is a stark difference between user experience and not being able to process the user feedback i have already given you when you persist with a narcissistic view that i must be somehow wrong after i've already detailed to you that in my personal user experience i can't single click teleport as a ghost. Your response was already satisfactory in explanation of its own to confirm the double click/single click but now you are derailing the topic, i did read and it does not change my circumstances with any great insight as to what went wrong so please also drop the subject.
What's your take on the topic of ghost roles? Diverting the subject back onto the original?
