This game takes all the garbage you hate from dayz meme games and makes it fun then wraps it up in ridiculously tactile controls and bro-op
Anyone else playing it?

I like dressing up in that edgy black leather outfit.
Game is fun but I think the latter stages (last three circles) are pretty bullshit and unfun.
I haven't won yet, but I've been fairly consistently able to get to top 10

IVe never won a solo round but with friends the last three circles goes from powerful bullshit to fucking intense trust building exercise as theres no cover and your buddies have to watch your back

is it still frustrating as fuck like every other battle royale game out there
you mention the controls are good which piques my interest, but I always hated the disgustingly trash communities that made it abundtantly unfun to play
(I'm assuming this is a battle royale style game? haven't looked into it)

Never played any other, but this one isn't because matches don't last more than 30 minutes.

It's battle royale, a plane flies over the map at the beginning of the round in a random flight path and players parachute out to wherever they wanna be, then they gotta grab a shitton of guns gear up and get inside this big spooky circle of doom which forces players to fight each other. Controls are top tier and everything you do feels really tactile. If you die youre booted back to the main menu and you can start a new game which cuts down on salt a lot.

You forgot to type ALL CAPITAL LETTERS GAME in all caps
But I play this and it's pretty good. Only play it with a group though, I cant be arsed to solo it
I also suck terribly at anything long range, with my team often making much more kills, but when it comes down to it I am capable enough of making that last kill in the round or shooting the one guy trying to flank us. Assuming I pay attention

Wait until they fix the netcode to buy it.

Netcode is fine except on the starter island with all 100 people.
I've played with XSI and my other buddy and we've won a few times.
This game is great.

That was even on Europe while at least one of us was American and we never had any issues with lag that day

It's not fine. It's been already acknowledged by the devs.

This game is fun, but the performance of the game is still pretty bad, probably the only reason I haven't bought the game yet.

I play the game(on family sharing) on a 750ti. It runs, but has drops in the framerate and is slow to do some things. It's playable but could be way better.

The game is mad unoptimized, it bottlenecks ram hard currently with a memory leak but with setting tweaks and a restart every game you can make it run alright. For some reason my buddies have worse framerate than I do usually despite having better cards

a literal developer wrote:I also want to address server lag once again. The lag you experience on the servers is not due to the hardware or size of the server, nor does it have to do with the number of players online. It is due to a networking issue with the core engine code, and it is something we are working hard to resolve, but it is not a simple issue to fix, so it will take us some time. Please bear with us and we will get it fixed as soon as we can.

In fact US is 14 in the world, but still much fucking faster than Canada.
As far as mobile internet is concerned, USA is WAY behind every country in Europe, except for Czech Republic for some reason.

It solves a lot of the dumb bullshit from them, players get forced close together, games cant last more than an hour, players choose where they want to spawn depending on where the plane flies. If you die your salt only lasts until you get to the menu and hit play game again.

It's decent
It's incredibly casual and a quick to pick up and play thing
You just get a group, hop in voice and go shoot things. Then 10-20 minutes later you're done with the round and you can do it all over again
The format works, the execution is pretty good and you can spend as much time on it as you want. 20 minutes is fine, 4 hours is fine

You'd also think it'd get repetitive, but you're not always able to get the gun you want or the scope you need to make good use of that gun. There's a decent amount of weapon variety, and each one handles fairly differently so you can mix up your play style depending on what you find.
That and sneaking up behind someone that's sniping and spraying him with an UMP (or grenading him and his buddy who're dumb and basically on top of each other) never gets old, nor does the FUCK YOU that generally accompanies it. Grenades are so much fun to use.
The real nice thing about it is how quickly matches go though. The map at the start is entirely accessible, then about 4-5? minutes later the first circle has its border start to close very slowly (which cuts the map size encircled to about 1/3 / 1/4 of the map) then each circle after has less time before it closes, with the outside of it dealing more and more damage per second as the game progresses. It's also nice in that the circle is entirely random where it'll end up, outside of never ending up finishing in water, meaning people have to get lucky with guessing where they should head to to wait others out.
I'm really happy they added a stalemate prevention too, so people can't hide forever, even in the final tiny circle, since eventually it closes entirely. Every match has a pretty much maximum length it can go on for, which is a about an hour iirc, since the damage the last closed circle deals will very quickly kill you, even if you have tons of healing items stored up.

Finally got my first win. It was with a PUG squad that never spoke, disorganized, but everyone knew what to do and stuck together (mostly) together. Only lost one squaddie, and the final circles were in the middle of the town "Pochinki"

Team Culling would be the only thing that could motivate me to install that game again, so I'm not sure if that means I should get this one, but okay.
