Ocasionally I do try to get /fit/, but after a week or so I always get sidetracked by more exciting activites. Such as literally anything else.

I can do 4 pullups without issue, but I weigh a little over 60 kg (~135 lbs) so I have an easier time of it.
I can't lift, but I do cardio because it makes me feel better long-term and is better for freerunning.
I used to do a lot of freerunning back in high school but since I entered academia I've been in small towns for years, so I'm out of practice. Not really any good place to practice.

i will bless this thread with my presence.
tho i haven't lifted heavy in some time now as i've fucked up my shoulder for the third time in a row. nagging injuries are the best~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was part of the WAN THOUSAND pounds club back last year and it'll probably take me a couple of weeks for me to get back there as soon as i've finished physio on my shoulder. if anyone is wondering its a tight capsule with slight anterior tilt of the scalpula which is causing a shit ton of instability (ie its fucking cracking and popping and can come out of its socket SUPER easy)
eat your oats you fucking skeletons GODDAMN.

can you do 4 pullups
so many swole people I know can't even do 4 chinups
also 9 fully extended pullups in a row, have a video of 10 but that's private
https://puu.sh/vl0Y4/8344146ce9.mp4
tbh pullups are easier on a tree branch than this bar.

yes I can do pull ups. i do weighted pull ups because they're a near compound movement for the upper back. majority of people who can't do pull ups but still look like they lift are typical gym bros that neglect their back other than the occasional rows or lat pull downs. i don't, i do back pretty much every work out since both the olympic movements use the back as a pivot. Plus the fact that i also do some high pulls every other day for both movements which really does emphasise the upper back area

that's pretty impressive.
yeah I see a lot of gym bros that absolutely can't do a pullup but curl forever.
I can dead and squat a little more than I weigh, but no where near the 1k lbs club.
no matter how hard I eat and lift, I can still see a little bit of my goddamn ribcage. rip high metabolism skellingtons

pullups in a row (full extension, no dead hang, hook grip) max; 14 reps
rope climb arms only (sitting down, no breaks, climb to top then climb back down) ~3.5 metres; 2 reps
weighted pullups (hook grip, dead hang, full extension) 5kg; 8 reps, 10kg; 5 reps.
1 mile in ~9 minutes treadmill, about ~12 minutes in rough, broken terrain.

Watch this:
Then I suppose you should take a look at his book Starting Strength 3rd Edition:
https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Strengt ... g+Strength
Follow the program.
Tips
1.) Get Adequet rest 8 min between work sets. 8 hours of sleep at night.
2.) Eat more calories everyday than you need. Need caloric surplus to build strength.
3.) Incrementally increase the weight. Follow the program.

THAT IS FOR LITTLE BABIES, REAL MEN TAKE HALF AN HOUR BETWEEN THEIR SETS OF 90% 1 REP SQUATS.
real talk tho, since i havent set foot in a gym in like 6 months my weight has steadily gone down, im now 75kg. my arm has kinda healed (lots of clicking and still got that SWEET SWEET anterior tilt on my scapula) so i'm planning to come back soon™© which means ive gotta start bulking now and not just eating like a normal person.
its been a shitty past couple of days as my stomach has not been ready for all that food and i have gotten a SHIT ton of heartburn but im doing it. i went through an entire loaf of wholemeal bread in 3 days and it'll only get worse. god fucking save me im going for the big 94kg instead of 85kg.
also @rocktdben that's a really steep prog overload. majority of the overloads ive seen have been 2.5/5kg every week. you were increasing weight every day.
you plateau'd way earlier than normal

Managed to run 1 mile treadmill in 8:20. Aiming to 8 minutes maximum. Everyone should be able to run an 8 minute mile.
I might have my friend administer the luc leger beep test. Aiming for a minimum of level 7.
Did something retarded today, tried a 60kg mill press. Almost hurt myself. I think I can easily handle a 40kg mill press and could push for 50kg.

I did it.
fucking did it.
also can easily do 5x30kg mil press. 40 may be pushing me.
bench 45kg easy. 50kg can do but struggle a little.
better question for everyone else that looks at this thread and lurks.
why aren't you making gains?

I was supposed to only do 10lb for about 3 to 5 workouts. I fucked up. So I lowered the weight and changed to 5lb progressions so I can keep good form and progress at a more realistic rate.

That's impressive 1 mile speed rock. really impressive speed.

went to a kids party on invitation of my best buddy.
nobody was entertaining the kids, not even my best buddy or the kid's sister. carried them both, gave them a ride on my shoulders, rargh I'm the big scary monster.
barbequed so much meat, kids were entertained.
feels good man. couldn't dumbell bench curl the kids though since they'd probably rip the clothes or worse.
