Witty, she is. And oh so dry at times.
Rational? Occasionally. Unless you really piss her off.

Stuff like that makes me wanna play AI and just respond to radio messages like "AI, door" with "yes, that is a door. A door is what you are looking at." and see if I get declared rogue.
(naturally, imperative commands would be carried out without question)

I do that to people who don't have a real reason to be somewhere. It's amazing how they always just go "whatever okay" and leave instead of phrasing it as an order.

it's what happens if a singularity eats a supermatter shard and THEN gains enough energy to go beyond a stage 5.
this is the stage 6.
getting a supermatter shard does not immediately make it stage 6, it simply unlocks the ability for it to do so at a high enough energy level.

Re: Screenshots General

There's three (I think) UI colour scheme's you can use.
Re: Screenshots General
Posted: Thu Jul 16, 2015 7:04 pm
by Remie Richards
Midnight (Standard), Plasmafire (The orange version of Midnight), and I believe the last one is just "Classic" as it's the old blue/green/yellow weirdness of the old goon UI.
The only one really maintained however is Midnight, since almost all new action buttons and UI sprites are themed to fit Midnight.
Plasmafire gets away with it because Plasmafire and Midnight look similar besides colouring.
Classic is fucked, nobody makes new buttons for it.

this is the weirdest thing man. it feels like the majority of the crew doesn't understand how asimov works at all. they don't understand how to phrase a command or anything.
which is a shame because the amount of fuckery you can achieve just with law 2 is incredible if the AI's not a jerk.

I should post more often instead of waiting so long, I don't even know if I have already posted some of these.
Bluespace Jesus
Spoiler:
I once was a traitor and subverted the AI and emagged the borgs and all and yet for some reason they had a really strong conviction to worship "bluespace", since I became their master and my character is called Jesus me and my bluespace worshipping borg were turned blue. So I became a "blue" space Jesus.
Butterfly Apocalypse
Spoiler:
I dunno if I've ever seen this many butterflies ever since. The screenshot doesn't do it justice sind so many overlap.
Cableart
Spoiler:
Some people are really creative.
Drinks
Spoiler:
Nothing special, but I really like it when bartenders don't just sit around or looking for people to shoot and instead make pretty drinks.
Admins, Spinning, Drugs
Spoiler:
When the whole flipping/spinning thing was new some admin really had some fun with it and gave the station weird colors and made everything spin. It was a pretty trippy round.
Flukeops
Spoiler:
Well... not much to say.
Shadow
Spoiler:
I've never seen that gimmick done before or since, though I dunno how unique it really is. Some guy was turning completly black and played the shadow of people by stalking them really closely and never talking. Sadly I don't have a screen of him actually standing next to someone.
There can only be one!
Spoiler:
Welp...
Never gets old
Spoiler:
I know it's nothing special, but AI on wheels just makes me giggle. The fun thing was that this mule was hacked to be fast, but the AI totally lost control of it and was zooming around the station like crazy without any idea on how to stop or how to go where it wanted.
Creative Botany makes pretty stuff!
Spoiler:
I've seen botany do a lot of redecorating and a lot of stuff is good (though many are a tad uncreative and just plaster wood tiles over the station). I didn't get the name, but we had a really creative botanist during one round that spread flowers around on grass tiles, giving the apperance of flowers growing. It looked really nice.
Though even more impressive was this "fake tree". I really liked it.

I always try to use up every glass with a pretty drink as a bartender - you can make the bar look really nice if you're willing to put in a bit of effort. It's a shame you always need help from someone to get a green drink, but the chemists are usually happy enough to give you some sulphuric acid for acid spits (or you can walk all the way across the station for the green crayons from art storage but that's a pain in the arse).
Then some lawyer comes along and drinks the entire bar empty, which is kind of annoying, so I always throw in some beepsky smash and neurotoxins to slow them down.

This was a really chill round. Botanist spent his whole round making the starboard hallway really pretty, and a few of us just chilled below botany, including an atmos tech who spent the entire time on fire.
I was the one that "made" the tree - really that's just a result of 100 potency grapes being harvested onto the square above a grape vine, it wasn't intentional - we just needed to produce food because the chef was having a hissy fit.

I was the only person in engineering as atmos tech so I upgraded the turbine to provide enough power to power the whole station. Eventually atmos bugged out and broke this and then released almost infinite amounts of CO2 when I tried to fix it.

I was watching this for some time after you said you were having trouble with the wiring, looked very impressive. What did you get output to in the end?
These are the new guns and devices, fresh and clean, ready for the use of those who step off the shuttle at MetaStation's updated Centcom. Always willing to add more gear if the suggestions are good. Hope they're fun:
Also had a decent round of nuke ops on Basil, first I've had the chance to watch in a long time - the crew survived on the shuttle which left about three seconds before the nuke went off. This was largely thanks to a HoP who printed an extra ID for shuttle override - himself and the Captain being the only heads. Two ops got to the Captain's quarters early-ish, but were cuffed by Beepsky, buying enough time for the eventual escape. Great to watch.
Would very much like to see MetaStation with a high enough population for this sort of thing more often.

So there was a vote for MetaStation on Sibyl, and it ran for a bit and seemed decent.

Re: Screenshots General

It was a late night event round. We were tasked by Centcomm to gather a long list of items in an hour or they would set off our nuke. We almost managed to gather all the items until we found out that someone destroyed one of the items on the list: the QM stamp. Our impending doom made some people panic and jump ship, it made some people angry and desire to strike back at Centcomm but more importantly it inspired a group of bright, young engineers to come up with a genius idea. "Why don't we destroy the station's nuclear device?" asked the engineers. "BUT THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!" responded the panicked crew. "We'll decide what's impossible," said the confident engineers and they quickly went to work. That is the story of how the brave engineers saved the station from being nuked by Centcomm.
Spoiler:
The victory was short lived though, as Centcomm sent a nuke straight to the escape shuttle.
