I don't see the point of buying this when I already own Space Marine and could play the exact same multiplayer game, if I wanted.

I once sat around for like 20 minutes trying to get a match and got nothing within the last few weeks.

There are some substantive changes compared to Space Marine. Ability to play Chaos, Eldar, Orks, use psychic powers as some factions, tanks, etc etc etc.
