I don't think anyone has actually said that augments are supoer powerful and people are going to self augment themselves every round (this is obvious because it didn't happen before). Most, or all of us are arguing that it's dumb that this will even be possible - and why would even care about being stealthy about it?

There is nothing inherently suspicious about augments - non antags get just as much use out of them as antags do (unless you're a ling, in which case they effectively stop you from using emp).
And so conversely, I would have zero issue as an antag asking the roboticist or whoever to augment me - unless I'm droppin emags out of my pockets or some shit, people are no more likely to murder you thenan other situation, and again, player interaction.

or we can just disallow the augmentation surgery so you guys will stop shitting yourselves over it
