Did we read the same thread? Frag went on a rant of how rifles utterly make balance one sided to sec, even though at that point he not only failed to understand the state of the rifles but that they were removed.

Going back to the syndicate Borg, I think making it into a power suit, plus giving it a inbuilt "gap generator" that shuts down any cameras within a 20 time radius might be interesting, as well as allowing the suit to force open bolted doors.

Power armor would actually be pretty cool.
Bay has their hard suits as a weird power-armor thing that can be insul/screwdriver hacked and can have modules installed, and is deployed from something you put in your back slot. I always thought it was pretty snazzy. They also have to be surgically removed, if I remember correctly.

If we're gonna go off topic, let's go off topic about power armor.

iunno power armor feels like it would either be a shitty mech or a better hardsuit, depeneing on how it was balanced

and it still wouldn't beat buying a borg because borgs give you a sixth member + makes the AI a non factor + are just plain ludicriously strong in a fight

Notice, I am completely okay with the idea of Syndiborgs being playable by the purchaser. The investment, while not gaining a new member AND being easily taken down with EMP, ion bolts, flashbangs, and flashes is almost unrewarding.
Doing so should refund some TC honestly. Borgs are like the first thing that get lynched on sight and it's easy for that to happen. Boom, ops are down to 4. Maybe an MMI? And you can buy an empty Borg, then perform surgery to debrain into MMI and then start the Borg, at a much lower cost.
