And to be 100% clear on the second point I made, this occurred in public halls, not in a department. Its funny that you're trying to criticize me but you're actually criticizing the admin who bwoinked me.

This thread has really just devolved to Sybil people crying over the death of Sybil and blaming everything but themselves for the death of it. I checked out of it when it seemed like it started going into circles and people actually stopped listing valid reasoning's for its pop dying.

The best thing we can do now is try and rebuild the server by coming up with new ideas instead of blaming mrp or whatever. A tightening of the rules on Sybil could probably help with its pop issues as I know a lot of Sybil people came over to manny because of people playing antags in the most unfun ways possible. Disallowing heads of staff from rolling antag might also help with the balance of the game. lowpop head of staff antag rounds are very bad for the game as it just becomes a free win because they have all the gear and access.

Assuming this were true I don't have a problem with MRP servers to begin with I just think the codebase has an MRP mentality lately when I think MRP admin policies are already adequate.

It should also be noted that mimepride has 5000 rounds on the servers. I don't think it's fair to characterize him as September 2024. Forum registration date does not equate experience and you are overestimating the importance of the forums in this matter.

i miss kilostation. unmaintained and all but it was a great map

Second: If I, the player, am attacked by a crew member while wearing said loot, even if I save them from being chainstunned by a head of staff with a baton, even if I remain totally still and non-hostile as this unjust attacker is whacking me, should I attempt to retaliate while dressed in space pirate loot(gotten from space, not from antags) under the misapplication of RPR 2, I cannot defend myself and must submit myself to the very high RP task of letting myself be crit/killed by the person I quite literally saved from being griefed. This shit never happens on LRP. No LRP admin with their head screwed on straight would ever rule against you, the defender and non-aggressor, in a conflict like that. On MRP they will and have.

On MRP. As a non-antagonist assistant dressed in pirate EVA gear, involved themself in a fight. After being mistaken for a pirate and attacked, they responded by attacking back with lethal lasers. From RPR2 you void the right to escalate to lethal self-defence if it is employed reasonably by the wronged party.

I gave my account of what happened in point #2 upthread. @StabbyStab was there too and can back me up on this. Also wanna say that the note is poorly worded and doesn't give an account of the whole situation. I remember it almost perfectly so I can summarize exactly what happened in point form.

Just wanna point out that I still want to appeal this note but I am still conflicted on if/when I want to devote the energy to an appeal. I already addressed your point about losing pop to Manuel upthread. You didn't address those points--not my issue really. Terry is still the community's most popular server, and that's LRP. Why then, did Sybil decline? Oh right...I provided convincing explanations early on in the thread which run counter to your own monolithic logic...

As for "blaming mrp"--I assume its directed at me because of my post last page. I don't hold Manuel responsible for Sybil's decline(you certainly do though), what I WAS doing, was taking issue with a bullshit statement "ok have any of you guys actually played on the MRP server like its basically indistinguishable from the LRP servers" and correcting them on it. I quickly learned as a MRP player that literally everything is our fault, we're behind the code changes they disagree with, we're behind a grand conspiracy to kill LRP, we're the reason why the toilet lid wasn't put down correctly, etc. As soon as I got 30 hours of playtime without a note on MRP I was abducted by the felinid HRP cabal and was made a sleeper agent along with the rest of manuel to eventually rise up in revolt and crush the innocent LRP players. The felinid HRP metagang is real and the headmins are just a figurehead to the council of the ERPers.

joking aside I don't entirely disagree that I can see how issues arise of having a primarily MRP sourced admin and headmin team when it comes to the wellbeing of LRP rulesets and the like. As for the concern of it primarily being a MRP coderbase or whatever, there's really nothing that can be done about that (if it's even true) because, at least as long as I've been here, the idea of having PRs be accepted or denied on MRP and LRP separately has always been a nonstarter because understandably it's a really bad idea in terms of the ease of maintaining stuff because it'll only get worse as time goes on.

The context of my statement matters, it was in response to someone trying to bigleague said 5,000 round player for only registering on the forums on September 2024. I would take rounds connected over forums registration date as a metric every time. As oranges said only banned players and complainers are on the forum anyway.
But I suppose access to recorded rounds and things like number of played rounds are an exploit and since that has been patched out, in a few years time we'll have no publicly accessible information concerning who might actually have credibility concerning gameplay experience. But that won't change forum registration date as a really dumb angle of attack against someone, it'll just be less easy to criticize that angle because everyone will be equally ignorant at that point.

I am not a noble savage geratric, i like new scenes, i get stuck in with all sorts of roleplay and am flexible shooting and chatting complex backstories for myself on SS13.

One extra reason to break it down why i still wouldn't play /tg/ if the choice of server was removed, importantly is that your concept of MRP is boring a copy template of LRP classic, and more personally from everything I know and perceive, admins still too intrusive to the player space to be impartial. There's very little more than that why id prefer classic /tg/ lrp over modern /tg/ MRP. I can atleast say other servers put in a lot more effort on the front to be distinctly novel, perhaps your energies should have been all in on the abandoned planetstation concept for the MRP experience.
