If one deci-Poly = dumb move that destroys one tile, one Poly = a dumb move that destroys ten tiles, or ten * deci-Poly

your homework is to calculate the measurement used for a loose singularity, which destroys the entire station (assumed to be a perfect square of 300 tiles horizontal, 300 tiles vertical)

Let's see, all you need to do is set up the PA and turn it on. The PA consists of 7 components, which you have to perform 3 actions on each. Then you have to turn the PA on and set it to 2.

So that's 7 * 3 + 3 = 24 actions at the bare minimum to release the Singularity.

The number of tiles it'll destroy is 300 * 300 = 90000. So the Singularity, at the very minimum, requires 24 / 90000 actions to destroy 1 tile.

That's 0,27 milli-Poly.

Suddenly I understand why the Singularity seems to escape every other round.

like, if you set the singulo up 100% perfect but leave the PA on +2
how do you quantify that
is it a deci-Poly for every action you took whilst setting it up (including the perfect emitters, rad-collectors etc)
or is it one deci-Poly for forgetting that one tile

Borgs (excepting secborgs if not ambushed or otherwise surprised) are actually easier to deal with than the AI. Sunglasses are all over maint, EMPs are relatively easily available (might be distorted perception here, I mostly play Cargonian), plus there's that shiny card that can fuck up electronics.
Only possible problem is a steady supply of flashes, but that can be solved if there's someone in Science.

Also, that whitetext was hilarious.
