Endless Space 2: Penumbra DLC

Hacking is a fun spin on espionage systems and the Umral Choir is probably one of my favourite Endless series factions now

It's one of the few 4X espionage systems that is actually fun

This game is fun, although I was blindsided for a long time with an actually involved war game compared to other Paradox games.

I been playing Toejam & Earl Back in the Groove.

Total Warhammer 2, Last Defenders on Mortal Empires, but it's incredibly easy even though the game says it's "hard"?

Played Civ 6 with the expansions, last time I played was when it launched. New features are nice, but it still feels super board gamey and the AI is still useless at war where they just like to spam one easily countered unit. (An army of catapults. Wow.)

Also gave Rain World a try and decided that while I liked the ideas I hated their execution, in particular the controls and the trial-and-error gameplay.

Streets of Rogue.

A 2D RPG that can be summed up as Dues Ex + Nuclear Throne with the insaneness of GTA.

Free demo of it exists on the internet with the first 3 levels. I recommend you get so I can have someone to do missions online with.

For a Non-Paid game. I've been playing the 7th Stand User. A very good Jojo Fan-Game where you self-insert as a 7th Stand User and help change the events of part 3 or make it worse if that's what you want.

Fun, but hard and frustrating. Single mistake can end your run. I don't think I've ever got past the second zone. That said, I play only fun tech classes like comedian.

The 3 classes I've beat it with are Slum Dweller, Shopkeeper, and Doctor. I've gotten really far with bartender though.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is GOTY material, and one of the best entries of the series

Graphically shit, but they nailed everything else so well. The story is interesting and well paced, which allows for more fleshed out characters that you end up getting even more attached to than usual.

The school setting sounded very off-putting and cringy when I first heard about it, but its what really allowed for the good stuff I mentioned before. Its a really good feeling to see your characters not only grow stronger, but since you’re their teacher you really had a hand in how they grew. It also makes for nice justification for the janky grind a lot of FE players do in battle, like letting the weaker unit get the last hit for the XP boost.

Just play on classic hard if you’re not new to Fire Emblem. Its noticeably easier than Hard in their other games, but still not a cakewalk and doesn’t let you infinitely grind.

Picked up and finally finished RDR2 (I got it at launch, so it's been like a year since I last played). I mean, given that I played the first game, the events of RDR2 were obvious to me but goddamn... the story was good and still managed to shock me at times.

Probably gonna do a second playthrough, but not progress past a specific chapter. I'm also kind of tempted to attempt to platinum it, but knowing that I'd need to do Online achievements is off-putting.

Considering I'm not a big fan of stealth (mostly because I get spooked), I really enjoyed the stealth missions with Charles. Taking out enemies in tandem with our bows felt more satisfying than gunfights, tbh.

Havent started yet but I'm gonna try starsector.

Just finished my first play through of Three Houses (Crimson Flower path)

There were a lot of twists and turns I didn’t expect, especially how wildly different the story can diverge. That final mission of Crimson Flower was absolutely brutal, but I somehow managed to just barely bullshit my way through it with no casualties.

This game definitely warrants another playthrough, perhaps several of them depending how fresh it feels to have a completely different set of characters each time

i just wish that pathologic 2 worked on my Lenovo ToastPad instead of freezing at the loading screen because i've only been waiting for the game for five years

I feel like out of these three, only the fishing really needs an explanation
I attach bells to the fishing rods, then I tab out to watch youtube. Whenever they ring, I reel in the fish and then I go back to watching stuff
And XIV is neat even though I can never motivate myself to do anything resembling content, I kind of want to do the endgame extra hard raids. I have done these in previous patches and expansions with little difficulty. I have the gear and stuff needed for them
But I just can't be arsed to look for a group to do them with and random pick up groups are asking for failure

Boardgames shouldn't need much more to say on it. Got a mostly regular-ish group doing them and it's nice games

Into the breach is good at first but I found it didn't last long before it got samey

sure, but it's a lot more unique than celeste in my opinion. again, celeste's a great game that i really enjoyed, but i have fonder memories of into the breach personally
