just put down rdr2 after playing for 5hrs.

fucking hell, it's amazing. idk how many times i've cracked up laughing at the silly shit that's happened to me so far.

I was pondering buying PS4 with RDR2, it would have been my first console since PSX. But fuck this, I'm not buying it for a single game. I don't even have a TV. I'll wait 1.5 year for a PC port.

RDR was never ported.

RDR2 probably won't be either, despite the absolutely ridiculous success of GTA V

I find it highly unlikely that RDR2 will not be ported to PC.

RDR1's development was riddled with issues and delays, and I'm fairly certain that's the main reason why it was never ported to the PC. R* at this point must be acutely aware that people want the series on the PC, so they'd be saying no to a lot of money and double-dippers (I would purchase the game again for PC, mostly to play with my mates who do not have a PS4) if they never released it on that platform. I'm sure the PC version of the game will be released in a year and a half/two years or so.

Super Mario Party is bland shit unfortunately, but at least we have boards back

The new Frostpunk scenario is pretty fun. It's tougher than the others as instead of slowly building up a well-designed city from scratch, it starts you off with a very large shitty city that you have to take apart slowly to survive. Very interesting twist on survival city-builders.

Replaying the Darkness 2 with a bottle of Sazerac rye.

Fucken froggy-ass voice calling "Jaccckiieeeee, let us freeeee" and then using your shadow dragon tentacles to murderfuck someone's heart out through their mouth while unloading a pump action into them never felt so cathartic.

Return of the Obra Dinn by that guy who made Papers, Please

Hurts the eyes after a while and it gets annoying being forced out of scenes before you are ready and then having to wait for some animations that take way too long.

Otherwise is a fantastic detective game where you have to solve 60 murder mysteries and slowly discover the increasingly unsettling events that took place on the ship. Story is told mostly through ~50 freeze frame scenes that play out of chronological order with fantastic sound design playing throughout each of them. Clues are scattered all over the place and come come up in interesting ways making the puzzles actually really fun to figure out!

Just got red dead redemption two last night. played the first couple story missions and they were good.

I've been considering getting Rimworld because I want to play DF
But I also don't want to get invested into DF again. last time I did my fort lasted 80 ingame years before I quit out of boredom and I was out for months

Rimworld seems like a decent enough alternative

100% 90s era design, right down to the fast-paced movement and shooting, labyrinthine level design, and electric guitars. It's literally a modern Descent.

And it's amazing.

Simple Rockets 2, now that it's out.
I'm getting the weirdest feeling, like this is supposed to be KSP except good.

No, but it does have some generic textures that look like they came straight out of a texturing package.

Whoever put the levels together was definitely not an artist.

I don't know why land-based scenery porn does nothing for me, but underwater does.

I'm seems like they would have just kept releasing more seasons/episodes to the original game, but probably had to release a "new" game due their break away from Square Enix. More content/seasons will likely keep using this platform.

I hope they do something new with Hitman next season. The Patient Zero bonus campaign at least had some interesting twists, but everything else is starting to blend together, same elements just arranged differently.

Endless Space 2 exists in this frustrating zone between "braindead cakewalk" and "incredibly frustrating", not because of the clever AI at all but because the AI gets such ridiculous cheats to make up for being absolutely useless. You're pretty much railroaded to play a militarist every time because the AI never knows how to wage war.

Actually that's any 4x in general these days. At least Stellaris lets you roleplay your fantasies out

Currently just waiting for ck2 to update because every fresh expansion Paradox releases has it's share of game-breaking bugs until at least the first patch.

Frozen Synapse 2 also feels incredibly unfinished and held together with duct tape. I guess I'll revisit in the new year and see if it has improved.

I own two official adapters, 5 Sm4sh controllers and 6 original controllers (1 black 1 purple 4 silver)
I literally don't remember why I have so many, I think I just didn't realize I still had the originals and found them after buying new controllers

Just finished Neir: Automata

This game is incredibly japanese, strange, depressing and difficult to describe. But it's also pretty cool, and one of the more novel games I've ever played.

The secret lore was a bit hard to follow when I've never played the other Neir games but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
