Hyper-Nobilium has an absurdly high heat capacity, meaning it gains and loses heat very slowly. This makes it a very good heat storage medium and coolant. You can make a bomb by filling one tank with super-heated nobilium and another tank with supercooled O2+plasma/tritium.

It's the same principle freon bombs used to work under.
