Firstly Taxoplasmosis being actually a problem only affects a very small minority (>1%) of people who suffer from aids.

All Shrekeli did was adjust the price to be the same as any rare drug price. The thing is that the price compared to other drugs that deal with the same amount of rarity is much fucking higher, but you don't see people complain about that. Secondly majority of people that pay for the drug are going to be under insurance. Turing Pharmaceuticals, his company, are actually still losing money and spend >60% of their budget on research. Other companies spend ~15% and some even as low as 3%.
And for the people that don't have insurance and have no real way of getting this drug all you had to do was call the company up, explain your situation and viola your whole treatment gets funded no fucking questions asked.

And due to the massive "controversy" of his change a new drug which was better because Pyrimethamine is a piece of fucking shit made in like the 60's and half of the time it doesn't work.

Oh he also has no wage from Turing Pharmaceuticals if that means anything to you, and he also takes zero shares from it.

I've got this jaded feeling of having been everywhere and done everything with everyone already. Nobody I meet really surprises me or gets me excited to see them. I keep making dates with girls out of habit, and then wondering why the fuck I bothered.

I've got a brunch date with someone tomorrow afternoon and I'm so much more excited for the Roland Alpha Juno 2 that's supposed to be arriving at my house sometime this week. This girl has the same body I've crawled all over a hundred times, all the spots in roughly the same areas. Easy to play. The Juno 2 supposedly has some defective keys. Taking it apart and figuring out how to fix it is new, when I'm finished and I've put it back together it'll be a tangible accomplishment. Not all these immaterial conquests and fading memories.

I remember a time when I felt like relationships and that kind of companionship were the most important, most human thing to exist but now I find really hard to care at all.

I'm sitting here hoping she flakes on me or cancels last minute so I can just eat a good hot meal out at a nice diner in peace and then head home early and get back to work.

On something like a credit card you pay about 20% interest to borrow a pound, but the bank only needs 10 pence from a saver to lend the borrower that pound.
So if you pay that quid back over a year the bank gets the actual original 10 pence back plus 20 pence in interest. They've just tippled their money! Meanwhile the saver gets an extra three pennies...which the tax man comes along and take his 'little' one fifth nibble from.

No wonder the Alpha Hippy, Jesus, flipped his shit when he saw the money lenders in the temple.

There's a thousand better things to invest your money in with significantly better ROI/actual staying power.

Savings accounts are a joke. If you want securities inquire about your jobs 401k. If your job doesn't have a 401k, look into getting an HSA. If you can't get that either, educate yourself and start speculating on shit. Real estate, precious metals...hell even fucking Magic Cards have really stable growth.

It's more of very gpu intensive games looking so cinematic to me that it makes me tired from the eye strain. I end up playing low end stuff like Town of Salem or TF2.
