Bottom post of the previous page:

So apparently my brake lights aren't working. Apparently ONLY my brake lights too as I can't see any of the others lights, running lights and hazard lights and turn signals included, malfunctioning. Guess I'm going to be digging through both fuse boxes tonight.

It's probably either a fuse or a switch on the brake pedal. I'm irritated because I never have time to do anything with my schedule. It's something I can fix myself unless something greater is wrong. But it reminds me that my schedule is garbage because I don't have enough time to for errands in the morning because i have to be in by 9, and even in Vegas, a lot of vital businesses close after 6PM. So I can't do shit on Weekdays At all.

I just can't keep the weight off. I'm back up to 206 pounds this week. Why can't I stay below 205? I'm never going to hit my goal at this rate.

She's back

Spent an hour trying to get her back though

She got on the roof and my sister doesn't own a ladder so I had to ask around

For some reason there's now water puddling in my passenger side door sill...

Waiting until the last moment to do a set task is a problem I've found that has to be confronted, its not a habit you'll grow out of unlike your old shoes. The values and work ethics instilled in you from childhood are very hard to shake off in adult hood.

Went to Specsavers last week for an eye test, didn't really need glasses but the VDU voucher from work gave me a free pair so I took them.

Having not worn glasses since I was a kid and since I don't really need them I'll probably only use them at home when my eyes are tired and not knowing anything about what eyewear looks good I decided to pick some practical frames with large lenses to keep my field of vision uninterrupted.

Picked them up yesterday and I've since realised they make me look like a certain famous person who'd love to have to over for diner

Fuck, I wonder if Specsavers has a return policy.

I've started keeping a ledger for my store inventory as it comes and goes. Basically just a simple record of how much I bought each individual thing for and what I ended up turning it around for.

It's tough to justify any single purchase for myself, whatever it is or how much I might need it, when I'm also juggling all the purchases and stuff out of pocket.
We're still at the "garage" phase of this thing, where the imaginary till and my own wallet are the same damn thing. While I need to have inventory to sell to make money, I also need to keep a certain amount of liquid cash around to jump on random specs and offers as they appear.

So far so good, I think. I'm terrified and anxious all the fucking time, I have a lot of time to just hurry up and worry about everything while waiting for deliveries or staring at unsold merch.
So far so good, though. The cash flow is there and my senses for what makes a good buy and what doesn't seem to be working out alright.

It's fucking crazy to think that I turned a $200 microkorg into all this, slowly over time, one trade at a time.

By the numbers my current inventory contains $690 worth of instruments and accessories, which cost me $380 to get (and then some labor and a few parts to fix, fuck I should've recorded that).
I've got $400 worth of instruments arriving on Tuesday, which should be valued at least around $800 after I've fixed them up too.

So like yeah sometimes this is fucking great and I put two hours of work into something and it gains $200 in value. Hurray for sort-of-kind-of making $100 an hour there.
The problem is volume. I need to be giving myself as many opportunities to make that conversion as possible, which means buying a lot of individual things. Making a week's paycheck in four hours of work is rad but if I don't have jackshit to do with the other 36 hours of my "working week" then I could be doing better. A lot better.

Thanks. It's really scary in a lot of ways but also incredibly rewarding.
When I look at how much money I can make now, using my own agency and thinking for myself instead of doing what I'm told to by some entity it's a lot to be proud of.
But at the same time it's totally agonizing and there's like...absolutely no security. Thinking about the volume of sales I need to make just to pay rent and buy food or other things. How easily it could just deathspiral after maybe a bad month or two.

Eh. I'm too young to want to just sit on my ass and collect money all day. Without something industrious to do life is kinda pointless. I actually enjoy taking things apart and fixing them. Even if I somehow blinked and was suddenly the owner of a multi-million dollar franchise of music stores I would still want to go into my stores and do something productive.

I actually dialed back the beard a little bit. It was getting uneven around the jawline and MUH SYMMETRY. It's currently very short and I think it makes my jaw look a lot more defined and makes me look five years younger, though your mileage may vary.

They had a lot of interesting topics to talk of and none of the other themes grabbed my attention so I'm on the right course. In short, the prominent things mentioned:
  • Rendering a planet in front of you without any assets, so created and modified by the code.
  • Water physics.
  • AI algorithms running on the GPU.
  • Algorithms in general running on the GPU without interrupting rendering jobs (water physics ties into this).
I get to pick what I want to do in the next year of the course.

On the way home I walked through the park I live near. It was raining but it wasn't heavy nor was it windy so it wasn't cold and my waterproofed zip up saved my upper body more. The birds were singing, the ducks and what looked like a close relative of the moorhen were swimming in the lake, the island in the middle had the sound of many insects staying in the dry. Then something stopped me. Little, hopping, wet furred rabbits were going across the paths. There were two and they were cautiously making their way to the thigh-high hedge maze. When they found an out of the way spot, they got up on their hind legs and ate the green leaves off the branches. After that I walked across the moor connected to the park instead of being near loud and fast cars before turning into the quiet street where my flat is.

Oh I forgot to mention the swans, half were in the water, heads nosing around at the bottom and probably finding Roman coins for all that I could see given the murky water. The other half were on the tarmac path circling the lake with their heads turned 180 and nestled in their backs except for one which was standing on one leg.
Your whole story sounded really deep but then I realized it's because I have jazz on in the background and it fit in really well with the timing it too me to read your post

I'm talking Aliens-powerloader-tier realistic robots. Well, maybe leaning more in the direction of those walker things from Avatar.
Closest you'll get to unnecessarily shiny will probably be a plasma gun and a LOX/LH2 rocket flamethrower.

Still, give me ten years, or however long it takes to figure out UE4, then make a halfway playable game.

a) it was really slow and drawn out
b) it was a little tricky to find a place to cut in the middle of it so it wouldn't last too long (this no longer matters but oh well)
