Essentially, treating (A)GPL as a contract for purposes of law allows it to avoid local "copyright" jurisdictions, and become worldwide, we can all see how that would be useful, surely.

Ok so from my limited understanding on what happened, aran got mad that godsring deadminned their friend for being a control freak, so aran sent a death threat to godsring and his son. When godsring then deadminned aran and didn't explain it, most of the staff left or something.

IIRC the first deadminning happened because the friend admin said someone had no reading comprehension and apparently this was the straw that broke the camel's back. Then there was an argument about admin policy and criticism about how Godsring picks and favors admins based on how emotionally supportive they are to him and not by their admin ability and effort. Godsring didn't exactly refute this. The rest is history I guess.

All of the messages of the first deadmin (and aran's) were removed but here's a screenshot of the leftovers of the immediate aftermath.

Ah well. Would have been funny to see this actually escalate to a legit court case.

Anyway, I stepped down as the spriter for the project since they got a couple more guys to do assets now. Just kind of lost my motivation for most of my hobbies over the last couple of months. I'm still letting them use my art, but I mean, since it's open source I guess you guys can nab whatever now.

the legacy version is the one based on the original fo13 project, which was based on some really ancient tg code. It's what all the fo13 projects used as a starting point. Not really much blood to squeeze from that when the russians have made their project open sourced.

Anyway, I might clean up my assets and throw them in a zip archive if anyone wants to use them. No point in keeping them hidden now.

legacy is pre AGPL yeah, means they lose on all our optimizations and improvements since.
