I feel this particular close-up, as it were, captures the spirit of the thing more compactly.

The meteors and such were so ruinous that the fire from the passing Ash Drake hung around for ages due to the lag-compensation system or something:

The whole thing looked pretty great and ran without much perceptible lag, certainly as an observer. That delay system really works a treat.

Last I played it was a laggy mess with 100+ people all constantly respawning and shooting eachother as raiders in the wastes. No cooldown on respawning at all is completely silly.

This, Also admins abuse so damn much. They never use their forums. Admins have no repercussions or anything against breaking rules, 5min spawn timer. They rarely speak to players with any dignity or friendliness and just straight out threaten and yell over ooc. They are a mess.
(Never had an issue with them myself just everything I've observed playing, well besides a second hand story of a friend telling me they got banned during a fight for not reading chat during a 5man shootout)

don't let fuckin' cheapass furries on deviantart trick you into thinking the going rate for professional art is as low as they make it out

This account is a great read for shit like that as it happens, but really, if it takes someone an hour to draw a thing then you can expect to pay the going rate for an hour of a skilled profession, and that's not even accounting for downtime and marketing expenses and all the other shit that contractors have to take into account when it comes to pricing

Yeah it's definitely at minimum wage or a bit below it depending on how complicated the outfit is and how many times a commissioner wants something changed. Even lower if you count the time I put into it juggling emails and taking reference screenshots and even physically posing for her sometimes. We wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't fun and I didn't have such a bizarre love of the source material.
