actually yeah wait i think their /tg/ based code was last updated some time before drones were added
so i think theyd be way out of date with our code anyways huh

Shame that none of them actually do anything unless removed. They don't even take damage.

That's because you're thinking of the wrong kind of organ.
We have 2 in SS13, Internal and External.
"External organs" are better off being called limbs, but they're not because reasons.

only External organs (Arms, Head, Chest, etc.) take damage, internal ones don't, although I would like something where damage to an External organ has a chance to damage the internal ones inside it, causing some internal bleeding.

Edit: oh gosh they're porting /my/ dismemberment.

I'm still trying to design the data structure that makes this kind of stuff easy. The Organsystem had a good concept, but the execution was rather complicated, especially in BYOND. And I'm kinda worried what its recursive nature would've done to the servers if it ever went live.

I have a new idea though, using the existing organ list variable.

Anyway, whatever is going to be the final execution... There is 1 very important change that has to happen first: the limbs have to generate their icons themselves based on the DNA stored in them, and the human icon generation code has to refer to those icons when building the human sprite.
