Other people who went to the restaurant grouped this person up with the actual degenerates, and now this angry person who used to go to the restaurant wants cat ears to be removed from the facility entirely, so maybe they could come and enjoy eating at this place once more.

Catering to people who have loudly and publicly quit or are permabanned and have no intention of playing the game either way seems like a losing proposition.

So you don't care about returning players (permabanned players can't come back granted unless they appeal), thanks for that underhand shiv straight through the community spirit and even if we are classed as the wrong type of people, you do no prior screening and remain ambigious to your desired clientele based entirely on what feels like the whim of the acting maintainer team and uncontrolled polls without tracability. (that still bothers me, people voting should have been public to see on the SS13 stats page or atleast tracable for staff purposes to investigate foul play)

One reason i can add why it isn't a losing proposition is that loud people will tell all their friends and communities, and change opinions of new players joining the server doing research beforehand on a game they may not of heard of, there's even a degree of coverage of anti-furry on reddit ( Furries and vorephiles trying to take over ss13 wiki, self-inserting their degeneracy. - SS13 Reddit )
