Your side of the story: It was nearing the end of the day and after a string of fun/stagnant/dull rounds, me and my friend DulMar, had our fill of playing for that particular play session. Before hitting the hay, we decided to play one last round. I suggested that we go as assistants, so we could just muck around, have dumb fun and finish quickly. A little backstory before I continue. I played this game with my friend for some time now. Both of us knew absolutely nothing about the game, so it was quite the learning experience for us. Eventually, we got the hang of it and enjoyed the game tremendously. In the round when we were banned, I fully admit we were communicating outside of the game (via MSN, fyi). The reason for communication was not a malicious one (well, at the least not REALLY malicious) and in my opinion, what we did was not really greytiding. I wanted to build some of those small handmade bombs to blow some doors, windows or whatever (never with the intention to harm anyone else besides the two of us) and I just wanted to get to the parts quickly. Typing in the chat and roleplaying for that matter was going to slow us. We ran to PTS, got the parts and then ran back to Dormitory. Built the bombs and then after acquiring boxing gear, we made our way to the Bar... This is where our only victim, besides our accounts, of our "rampage" was located. This is where I attacked and killed Pun Pun the Monkey in cold blood. Now that I have had more than a year to think about my actions, I truly regret killing that damn monkey and shoving him into the disposal bin. For some reason there were no people around, so we decided to break into the abandoned kitchen. This is about the time when gamarr, the admin, started to contact us (at least me). It was probably my first encounter with an admin so I panicked a little. I will fully admit I did lie about not knowing my comrade-in-arms. It was a stupid and silly thing to do. Quite possibly the stupidest thing I've done that whole round, was telling my friend to do the same. He did not want to lie, he wanted to come clean, but being selfish scumbag that I am, I coerced him into lying like a retard, just like me. So, after blowing up some random windows and doing random things in the kitchen, we were then banned.

Why you think you should be unbanned: An important note: We never communicated outside of the game during our many previous rounds nor broken character if we happen to stumble upon each other while playing together. We would go rounds without seeing each other. Sometimes we would pick the same jobs, like scientist, miner or botanist, but we would always be in-character. The only possible communication while playing together between us was, asking if the other person was alive. That's it. Nothing else. I don't think I've saved him from dying even once (but I do believe he saved me by chance, at least once). I do not really believe what we did was greytiding. We had almost to no contact with the other crewmembers and didn't cause no one trouble, besides ourselves. And even though we did Metacomm, it wasn't for some great trolling purpose. So to end this wall of text, I only ask of you this: If you're not going to unban me, at the very least please reconsider unbanning my friend. He was not to blame for my great "leadership" or for trying to deceive the admin. He's a lazy bum, so he will probably post his appeal later today. That is all, thank you in advance.

You see, there is a huge giant problem about why metacomm is bad, and should be avoided like the plague. Because right now we're going on just your word, after I most likely followed you around after noticing you two rather wordlessly futzing about, making bombs, and then going on to be giant pests. Once it's noticeable that you two are doing such, and then blatantly lie.... what does that leave you? Nothing, really at the time. Reputation, trustworthiness, it is not like much is asked to follow the rules (though looking at appeals you might not think so). You two were not even banned on the spot, and were asked, and then you lied which does not leave me much choice at the time.

I am going to lift it, however I would like to say that it can easily be reinstated if found that you two are playing again like so and should be obvious. Sorry you were cut out of the game for so long over something that, if the actual situation is rather benign compared to serious assholery. But looking from this side of the fence, it was not, and you two passed up yer one chance to say so before the ban was applied. You will have a note about this for who knows how long but if you avoid such situations it should not haunt you too bad.

Then you should not have much problem if you aren't a giant pest as you say. I'd suggest you quit talking to yer buddy outside of the game when actually playing, and hanging out so obviously, because this is exactly the kind of situation that could've been avoided and you caught a ban over it. Do no harm and all that such stuff. If you still talk to your buddy, he needs to appeal it separately and if linked to this appeal, it should be relatively easy to lift as well after his own discussion, if he even still plays.
