And sorta like Richard Madoc from Sandman if he had access to the internet I am using this forum as my wall where I can bleed my fingers.
There's gross themes underneath (nothing explicit, just gross) 'cos I mean it is Warhammer.
The goddamn Witch Hunter is right
A Witch Hunter, driven by unshakable paranoia and a descent into madness, is convinced that a nearby village is harboring a nest of mutants, believing his only proof to be the sighting of a strangely docile Chaos Spawn in the surrounding wilderness. His paranoia, however, is entirely validated, as the village is under the protection of a Shallyan priestess, servant of the goddess of Mercy, a mutant herself, who guards the hidden truths and the outcasts in her flock. The local cult of Sigmar dismisses the Witch Hunter as delusional, refusing to intervene but simultaneously stonewalling him. The players are hired to either support his crusade or defuse the situation, as the cult believes the best way to help the Witch Hunter is to send a troupe of incompetent rat catchers. Should they help, the Witch Hunter may ultimately succeed, purging the village and its mutant denizens, but his grim certainty will lead him to ruin if he’s left unchecked—possibly dragging the party down with him in his fatal obsession.
I'm particularly fond of using this one first as it sounds good for power scaling.
Every dwarf shall deserve their elf hair cloak
A band of dwarf slayers, led by a Doomseeker maddened by visions after slaying a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh, is on a quest to cleanse Athel Loren of its elves and spirits—an impossible mission fueled by delusions of righteousness. Denied passage through the Underway Network for fear of sparking a war, the slayers decided to take the long way from Karak Kadrin—thrudging through the Empire in the process. The players are tasked by a local lesser noble (who does not want to deal with this) under command of an elector count to either convince the slayers to turn back, take another route, or vanish into the wilderness—anything to keep them from wreaking havoc through the Empire. The players must navigate the slayers’ fiery passion for combat and their refusal to pay for food or shelter, all while uncovering the dark truth: the Doomseeker's cursed axe is a daemon weapon, secretly feeding elven souls to Slaanesh, making his doomed quest even more tragic. Failure to prevent the slayers from reaching Athel Loren will spark bloody disaster, but the players’ choices could push the entire group to their desired doom.
The Malady of Mania
In the small, outlying city of Weissbruck, a Lahmian vampire has quietly lived for decades, cultivating her cattle with care and precision—until a tragic encounter with diseased blood left her mad, her insanity manifesting as a twisted desire for kindness. Now, her cursed blood is spreading morbus aquitanicus, a disease that causes its victims to develop pockmarks on the site of infection and violent, erratic behaviors after years affliction, dubbed the "Malady of Mania." The local noble hires the players to investigate the disappearance of a bailiff, only for them to uncover the vampire’s tragic yet dangerous state. As the players struggle with their duty to kill the vampire, they must also contend with the moral conundrum of her unusual benevolent madness, ultimately ending in her death to stop the plague she unknowingly spreads.
I'd love to hear thoughts, but if you got this far, I'm already grateful for reading through
