Why were atmospherics berets removed?

Atmospherics techs do not get any drip in their atmosdrobe. Some may say this is to cut "bloat." Yet engineers have an alternate jumpsuit, hard hats, and berets. Atmos techs get nothing. Security has like 4 outfit varieties in their autodrobe. Please give Atmos Techs some headwear that isn't the firefighter helmet.

helios has done me a great service with the air-hat

If it were to have a gameplay effect, putting one tank in would have you breath through one tank, and having 2 tanks would allow you to breath through both.
This would also have gameplay implications for Atmos techs, as it would allow them to replace the contents of those standard emergency 02 airtanks with something else, be it one tank of N02 and one tank of plasma, or two tanks of superheated plasma

I agree strongly. The reasoning was that colored berets are bloat since GAGs allow for multicolored berets. Except... GAG berets weren't added to the atmos vendor to replace them! So all this does is remove one of the few alternate uniform items atmos tekkies got to have.

I'm kinda eh on berets but I'd definitely love to see more clothing options for each job

Cargo could get hard hats, hazard vests, workboots, earmuffs, and/or full-body boilersuit style jumpsuits like today's dock workers wear

Botany could get more farming-related hats and overalls. IIRC they currently get two overalls, and one of the overalls doesn't have an additional pocket while the other does, making the former pointless to wear outside of style

Bartender could have additional fancy clothing items that have been added to the clothing vendors in the dorms over the years.

I can't really think of other jobs clothing, but hopefully, the point comes across.

Baseball remains popular as ever in the far-distance spess future, especially with holodeck technology.

The only caveat with colored crayon, is that with engineering needing to shower regularly to expel traces of radiation it's very easy to have the colors run, unless of course they push them old-school through the suit-decontaminators.
