I honestly want to ask:

Has anyone bought a Detomatix or witnessed a PDA bombing since then?

I bought it a few times. It's great as a Mime as you can PDA emojis AND text as someone else to really fuck with them.
Also using it to impersonate people or to PDA bomb someone by pretending you're deaf.

I think the TC cost should be a little lower since it's a one and done kind of thing. Once it's known, the PDA server tends to get shut off.

You mean to tell us that an obscure sabotage item has been purchased in 35 rounds a day, every day, for the last 5 months?

The average round is about 90 minutes, there are 5 servers talking to the database, that's about 96 rounds a day, so 35 of those rounds having a detomatix purchased (low tc item) seems reasonable to me at a quick glance?

That doesn't feel right from bagil either. I know there's long stretches of time where I'll be the only traitor on slow long rounds. 1/3 of it's rounds having a detomax purchased seems absolutely wrong.

Is this some commonly used sybil or MRP item? To europeans love to send mailbombs?

I'm curious about the usage over time now and will now dedicate all of today to making a fuck huge graph of every uplink items purchase rate since Biddle traitors

Entirely anecdotal, i know, but i have gotten PDA bombed exactly once since the change, and that was within a week of it being merged. I still think this is better than "turn your messaging off roundstart or gg no re 20 second instant stun into being decapped by an esword", which wasn't any fun at all.

Come to think of it, I don't think the Detomatix even works now that PDAs are tablets.

Tablets that are off can receive messages, but can't reply to them. Does that work when clicking Detomatix virus messages? Will you still boom even if your tablet is off? I don't have means to test it, but I'm going to assume not.
