im pretty sure ultimates are programmed by like two guys who sit in the corner and the rest of the team is scared to talk to them
just let them stay on it

it's a 2 man team because ucob was clearly made by 1 man and they realized that they can't just let someone go hog wild without another guy to question them

Yeah felt pretty bad they cancelled it ;-;

Several of the raid groups I played with just stopped playing until next expansion after the announcement because the gear is basically useless you want to parse

Hopefully we get at least 2 next expansion

I like ultimates because the bosses are supposed to be strong and threatening in the story but in the game they're less menacing than a red chocobo because people's moms have to be able to win

ultimates make them feel actually dangerous
easier to respect the content as the writers intended

ultimates are the hardest fights in the game, they're really long, have multiple bosses and have a billion mechanics but if you beat them you get a glowing weapon with textures from a low budget Nintendo 64 game

I'm about halfway through Stormblood I believe, with several jobs and all roles level appropriate. I'll probably transfer my character to the European datacenter for Endwalker release, playing with 300 ping is really aids for some of the boss mechanics and I expect it only gets worse.
Does anyone else play on Yurop or has similar transfering plans to mine? I'm asking because I want to tryhard and get to level 90 quickly and start doing endgame content.

They don't release endgame stuff until a couple weeks into the expansion so people don't feel like they need to rush the story to get there and do raids, so don't feel like you have to no life too hard to get there fast.

The game is in the best state it has been since Heavensward, unless you played AST then it sucks. The game is good enough that I'm worried Endwalker won't meet the expectations set by Shadowbringers.

I don't care what anyone says about AST. Fishing for balance cards was much more appealing than the system we've got now.

AST is fine unless I get downscaled to a level that doesn't have Sleeve Draw because I just keep not getting triple divinations even with 3 redraws

i think it was a question of choosing what to devote time/money to unfortunately, it was probably the right choice even though shb has been the most bare expansion in terms of raw content

here's hoping endwalker changes things because the male viera announcement especially came out of left field
