Banned by host: You, or another user of this computer or connection (Kobolder) is banned from playing here. The
ban reason is: Tiding/Griefing - When an officer stopped them, a non-antag, from getting into the upload, started
to grief and mess with the officer when they were trying to apprehend a known traitor. Then was part of a mob who
messed with the officer which eventually crit them. You already have a history with tiding and poor escalation, so
the ban length is longer. DCed before I could talk to them, so if you'd like to go to forums to explain your side, feel
free.

I was a virologist, in lowpop. When the AI joined the round i thought of asking them to get in the upload, as a joke, and to my surprise they said yes. I went there to see what that was all about and maybe upload some mock laws. There were many people in there, including a security officer, Seth Hawker. I figured i wouldnt be getting in anyways because of Seth, so i decided to mess with him a little by spraying people with tomato juice (which looks a lot like blood). While i was spraying people, i came across a asleep Seth and Katrina Stormbird in the courtroom, a "known traitor" that seth let go after being caught once. I saw a sec belt near seth, with a baton in it, so i tried to stun and cuff the traitor, as there were handcuffs in the secbelt. Then Seth wakes up and decides to stun me. I thought that Katrina used the hypnoflash on Seth since he was asleep, but didnt do anything about it. the crew killed Katrina, while Seth was doing something in the brig, while me and 3(?) other people were watching. Then, he says to a botanist who was trespassing: "Leave, im going to kill anyone who gets in here". I kept seeing what was happening from outside of the brig, because i thought it would be entertaining. Seth picked up a toolbox and beat up the botanist, who escaped, while he chased them to the area below the brig. I shoved him into someone because the botanist had already left so there is no real point in killing them with a blue toolbox. Then Seth proceeded to hit everyone who was outside of the brig, which led to his critting. Or death. i had already went to do something else after he got knocked out. I had just waken up when it happened so i might have gotten some things wrong, but im pretty sure that its all right in the logs

I figured that the admin couldnt get the full picture of what happened, since i had left (i got killed by a ling hulk for spraying the tomato juice on him). So i made this appeal to lift the ban.

First and foremost, an apology.

A good chunk of this ban was based off a misinterpretation of logs on my part. I wasn't sure what was making the officer fall asleep, as logs show he was hit by a pen but didn't show any reagent transfer:

so I mistakenly assumed that tomato juice had some feature I wasn't aware of that put people to asleep (dumb, I know). After reviewing the code and seeing that it, in fact, does not have any sort of drowsiness effect, I realize that it probably was the pen, and there just might have been some sort of logging issue (or maybe I'm just retarded, who knows).

So you weren't griefing the officer to the degree I had thought as they were trying to arrest the traitor. You were still being a pain in the ass, and borderline self antagging, which made the arrest more difficult than it should have been since they thought two different people were trying to kill them - but I don't see this interaction as damning as I initially did.

Anyways after this, lynch mob catches up to the traitor, and kill them (notably you being a member among them). However you are still spraying everyone with your tomato juice and saying such lovely things as:

Any member of the crew could kill you right now and I would not bat an eye. On top of that, if you were to retaliate against a crewmember trying to kill you, I would see it as kill baiting. You make that crewmember security on top of all that, who is earnestly trying to secure the corpse of a traitor and is being mobbed by crew? I'm going to ban you.

To make it even worse, the officer gave a verbal warning that if people didn't leave brig he was going to kill them. You decided to enter brig after that, so you have no one to blame but yourself when the officer started beating your head in (four times with a toolbox I believe). Then you retaliate by hitting him (along with some others):

After that hes punched into crit by some dude with 40 minutes in the game and succumbs - which is why I only said that he was crit in the note.

So with that in mind, on to the ban. The ban was a combination of the perceived grief on the officer before the traitor was killed, and then your part in critting the officer later. It was 3 days because you already have a bad history with escalation and tiding. Seeing as your initial grief of the officer isn't as bad as I had thought, I'm gonna shave off one day. I'll reword the ban as follows:

As a non antag, after repeatedly antagonizing an officer and making themselves more than valid, helped beat the officer into crit with the help of a mob when they finally retaliated. One unfair critting (of an officer, no less) on top of your bad history with escalation/tiding = 2 days. Future rule breaking of this sort will be met more harshly.

I only included those logs which I thought relevant, so if you think I omitted anything important, or having anything to say or challenge, feel free to.

I remember the circular saw attacks, they werent inside of the brig. They happened after seth had LEFT the brig to chase the botanist, everyone there thought it was too much. And i agree with the tomato juice part, i dont know why i screamed that over comms

I dont remember being inside of the brig, do logs show the area you are in? I do remember that the entire conflict happened in the public area below the brig doors. Which is certainly not the brig

Yeah. The first logs of him attacking you seem to show that you guys were in brig:

I didn't check those coordinates -might have just been at the entrance- but honestly he could have attacked you anywhere and it wouldn't have really changed my mind. If you're antagonizing security to this degree and are making yourself this valid, you absolutely not should be hurting them for doing their jobs (dunking you).

Well, i thought he was hypnotized by Katrina, and he decided to try to beat 4 people to death for being in a public area. Since he tried to kill us with a toolbox i just fought back. If you exclude the lynching i just taunted him over comms and sprayed tomato juice on people, which isnt worth a 3 day ban

I mean I brought it down to a 2 day ban, for self antagging and then helping crit an officer, as well as because of your history.
