Your side of the story: I saw the mime multiple times with a energy sword and what looked like a Chaemlon Exosuit I then killed him thinking he was a traitor after being informed later it was a present. I wasn't able to respond to the Admin due to me not being at my computer and doing something else while I waited for the round to end.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I thought the mime was a traitor even after I was informed he wasn't I then tried to take him to medbay. I also just wasn't at my computer during the time of being Pm'd. I thought the tree had limitations of what it could give such as not giving traitor items.

I was present for this round and it might be worth noting that the gear the Mime had wasn't a present - it was taken from a traitor that was caught with the gear earlier and given to him by sec. Not sure if this is pertinent or not but might be worth noting.

If this is true I apologize for the discrepancy. The Mime had made implications that they had obtained the sword through the tree in emotes when confronted IC, in deadchat as TheGoodAstronaut said, and when I had asked him about it in admin PMs.

As response for the appeal itself, yeah I understand you were away, and you may have missed the mime emoting that they had the esword, but if they weren't attacking anybody you should have more time to analyze the situation before calling them valid IC and attacking them. Perhaps I missed something, but I'll unban you regardless, as I can't blame you for mistaking a christmas present recipient for an antagonist.

Thank you. I looked at them for a while. Trying to figure out if they were antag or not but after seeing their chaemlon exosuit start freaking out I thought they were.
