i will occasionally post graphs that i make in this thread so you may consume them

this is a graph of 'playing population' (players appearing in manifest.txt, aka players who join the round through the ready/join buttons on lobby) over the first 4 months of the year averaged by hour by server.

note that the 'averaged by hour' part is based on the hour in which the round started so keep that in mind it might be important!

people dont really work that way though. Someone wont move off a server if they learn to like it there. People mostly follow pop / stay on the server they started on.

terry went on the hub, terry get pop from the regulars from terry before EH. Event hall pop followers swapped to the higher pop server on the hub

Pop exists on Sybil because people are trying to get away from other players, and then pop-seeking players join. This was the Bagil/Sybil relationship. We have talked about this. Imsxz has really eloquently explained this.

a return to unique player statistics in the following graph, a few things to note:
1. this graph uses connections from the entire dataset i have, which means the 'new players' in mid-2017 could be very old players
2. this also could affect the reality of the 'veteran' player numbers following seth-tide, some of those new/regulars could actually be old players returning
3. this is based on connections, not rounds played, so the numbers are a bit higher from last time as more people connect (like observing and stuff, which doesn't fall under played)
4. the dip between the oney video and sseth video can be attributed to the DDOS attacks that started in early april
5. definition of new, regular, veteran can be found in the bottom-right of the image
