That was still a fairly rare occurence, I think. In fact, if you remember (but you don't) my argument against lizards as a starting race was that they should remain admin-only. How quaint does it seem now.

There were some truly magical moments in the rare occasion a server-halting set of explosives went off but server chat kept up, so you could be in the epicenter of a blast with a few folks in this freeze frame moment but still able to talk to each other while waiting for the server to catch up and turn all of your into gibs.
