Remove "The Room" theme [POLL]

So aparently its too big of a deal to just simply remove a song thats completley off beat to the game, was left over from someone put it in because "le funny" and is probably iffy on copyright grounds.

So here I am, making a poll so we can get it removed.

I’m pretty sure it WAS removed, code side at least, but as it is config it remains ingame. Meaning admins should have removed it ages ago.

In the same vein, Endless Space was added codeside, however remains unplayed since headmins have yet to add it. Can you do both?

This has bugged me for ages. IIRC, it was added at the same time as Leslie Fish's space folk/filk music was, then both were removed, and finally this was re-added for some reason.
Leslie Fish's science fiction stuff is the most SS13 music I've ever encountered, but it was removed in favour of a shitty meme. I have lobby themes muted because of it.

Great compromise for people who still like the dramatic setting of the room this game attaches itself to while keeping a retro theme the rest of the tracks are about.

As far as I understand, the lobby themes have been a constant source of strife over the years, partially because they are handled by configs which rarely get updated. For example, The Room theme was supposed to be removed by this PR: https://github.com/tgstation/tgstation/pull/28879, yet it still has kept playing for years (and as far as I know there were no PRs which readded it).
Relatedly, I also vaguely recall someone at some point being annoyed by all these constant arguments about lobby themes, so they intentionally set the server to have its own list of them which was separate from the codebase's. This is possibly the explanation for why The Room theme is still around.

It seems like alot of other servers besides /tg/ use it as a theme.

All these three are not the original songs and are derivatives or remixes of the original therefore have their own copyright.
Title 1 (flip-flap) is probably the most iffy, given it as for use must ask permission. And I have no idea if that was ever obtained.
Title 2 (robocop) is from a now deleted animation so Im not sure how that would go.
Title 3 (tintin on the moon) as written above original creator seems fine so doubtful its an issue
Title 0 (endless space) CC with attributes as credited in the server files.

The room is the only one thats defiantly 100% a copyright issue given its from a """major""" motion picture.

I know again, as I said and listed literally in the name there. Its a REMIX of the original gameboy version.
If you read the link I posted of the collated info you'll see the remake was by some animator/youtuber. It was used in a Dilbert cartoon which now no longer exists.
The remake is what we play and have in the code, not the original.

EDIT:
Looking into it was for a short called Dilbert 3, which was a remixed version of the robocop theme by someone other than the orginal themes creator.
You're also talking about a game from 1991 (from what I can work out), rather than a film from 2003 (I hadn't realized it was that early, given it was only popularised around 2013/2010)

i'm no copyright law expert but afaik you need permission from the original creator to release a remix of a track and even then if that's the case i think it's still messy when a third party then goes on to use that remix

I enjoyed the movie, Ive seen it in cinema's three times, one of which had Tommy Wiseau do a live Q&A. Its hilariously bad and Im always trying to get people to watch it with me.

HOWEVER. That is that movie, not this game. It doesn't fit the mood, its not even ironically bad and its definitely not good either. Its just an ill fitting song that some coder put in when they saw the film for the first time years later than everyone else because "LOL GUYS LOOK IM RELEVANT I SAW THAT BAD MOVIE TOO I CAN HANG!"
