There's been situations where i've been involved in, or have observed, extreme shitlery, Such as Ekat uploading kill laws to the AI, and exempting herself from said kill law, and using that kill law as a weapon, As nonantag RD. Two rounds in a row, both times as nonantag.
First time, I wasn't involved because I got to the round late and just wanted to observe to see what was going on
Second time, I WAS a borg of the ai, who was traitor. Ekat, a nonantag, decided to try to upload the kill laws. it failed because well... couldnt purge the ai. Ahelped that, no response.
Told me to "Beat their shit in" after someone attacked me with a baseball bat for no reason.
So far, Not the best opinion on their admining. Not malice, from what i see, Just ... I guess they just dont want to deal with this shit.
To be fair, however, I do not entirely understand their reasoning, and they may have a perfectly good reason not to act on such ahelps. I might be confused. This is just my... personal view, not an official complaint.
I might just be seeing the worst of them.
To address your complaint to the best of my memory;
Regarding Ekaterina's "kill laws", if I recall correctly, the laws were just "destroy people that ERP" and "Ekaterina is not capable of ERP" or something to that effect? Either way, non-antagonist AI's cannot grief without explicit laws telling them to grief. Kinda silly, but there's a poster in game defining "ERP" (basically the same as OOC ERP), no harm no foul.
And your situation where the assistant beat you with a bat and stole your bartender shotgun; I do agree that he was a cunt. However, I didn't act beacuse I didn't want to, I didn't act because within the current rules of escalation he had not overstepped his bounds to be beyond an IC issue. Had he ended up critting or killing you, he would have likely ended up with some sort of warning or ban.
The reason your adminhelps tend to be brushed off is because, like the above, the shitter in question isn't doing enough(in the admins opinion) to warrant OOC action against the person. Investigating issues is the hard part of administrating - not dishing out punishments.
When an IC conflict is adminhelped by a party that isn't participating(such as an observer adminhelping the HOP for killing an assistant seemingly randomly), I am more reluctant to interfere directly, as chances are there was a good reason leading up to it, and the victim will likely ahelp if they believe there was an issue. I don't like to proactively bwoink in direct conflicts like this unless I have reason to suspect there might be metagaming or the likes involved. Likewise, I DO proactively bwoink individuals that are griefing in a situation such as shocking random doors, putting poison into the cryo tubes, et cetera where the crew is unlikely to be aware of who's responsible and are probably assuming it's an antag doing it. I investigate lots of issues, particularly ones like sabotage, without prior adminhelps from any affected parties.
Hope that answers some of your concerns or clears up some confusion. I'd like to apologize as well if I come off as rather dismissive and uncaring - I have been trying to improve my own transparency and ability to communicate the situation to both sides clearly recently, and I'm hoping to eliminate my bad habit of wordlessly brushing off tickets that I don't believe are actionable.
