I don't remember zombies but I do remember that little forest area near the nord starting town with a high level Black Knight spawn that basically just existed to fuck your underleveled mouth.

Also this game is appearing to be legitimately great, it certainly looks beautiful, the combat may feel clunky but then I remember I'm an untrained blacksmiths son trying to fend off grizzly bandits or professional and well-equipped soldiers. Some decent enough story hooks in the start, I look forward to actually getting into the meat of the game after completing the long intro.

Yeah, I think there's going to be a lot of things that feel clunky and turn out just to be intentionally that way because sword fighting is actually kinda hard and more involved than "just swing the damn thing"

That's a question, are there any minority quarters/slums in the game or did Bohemia just have Germans hanging around the Czechs? Or are there no big settlements in the game?

The rulers of the Kingdom of Bohemia promoted German settlers during the eastward expansion. I'm not sure on segregation on populations beyond the likes of the settlers would be a majority in a certain settled region. Honestly with the likes of the HRE being German really wasn't much an idea either until much, much, much later as if you identified with anything it was to where to came from as nationalism was still far out.

By the time of this story they are actually permanently settled in Hungary, speak Hungarian and are de facto Christianized, in fact the whole story revolves around King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia and his conflicts against King Sigismund of Hungary whose ancestors married with Cumans in the previous centuries. They are only referred to as barbarians and heretics by the NPCs in the game, something which makes total sense considering that the Western Schism of the Catholic Church is happening in this very same period.
In fact, the Cumans of Hungary under the lead of King Sigismund went to great lengths to wage Christian crusades against the Turks of the east in an effort to liberate Constantinople from the heathens.

The Cumans during the 13th and 14th Century (100-200 years prior to this game) split into two vastly different cultures, the western settlers in Hungary who were baptized in 1227 and swore allegiance to the King of Hungary, and the eastern nomads who remained and adopted Islam to found the Golden Horde with the Turko-Mongols a few decades later.

I only want a higher difficulty setting, maybe with more expensive items / less trade value. The first day of playing I acquired 10k Groschen and 100 rep in Rattay, bought all the best gear from the vendors, second day I had 10k again so I bought shitloads of potions, poisons and spent money on all the skill trainers. Now I'm just murderboning everything I see.

About 40 GB at total. And it still has a lot of bugs. It's like going back to skyrim times
