i woke up this morning to my dog having an epileptic fit
today he has had four, to my knowledge
took him to the vet to get checked out and he apparently had two more while they were trying to install an IV and take bloods
he came out on a stretcher and had to go to another vet that can provide overnight emergency care
he is under a constant feed of diazepam to settle what the vet called
a "cluster seizure"
i've had a cluster headache and that wasn't great so please imagine your entire brain lighting up with randomized electric signals causing constant and extreme pain very quickly
now please imagine that happening four to six times
now imagine spending a night under that constant state because that's what my dog is doing right about now
if he doesn't stabilize by the morning he will have to be put to sleep
he is 2 and he has yet to experience a christmas with my family

i don't think i'm okay

I've tried lucid dreaming but I've never gotten any imagery. Though, my dreams appear to be more like just "ideas" as opposed to actual imagery. I'm also only able to remember the dream I had immediately before waking up.

Also I've noticed something similar as well when I'm sick with something: sickness in general seems to cause me to have some weird dreams and strange thoughts before I sleep.

Yeah... I don't actually remember if I ever had dreams or they just stopped one day (I'm a very clumsy person so my head has been subject to multiple hits along my life) but I genuinely can't see anything if somebody tells me to imagine a beach. I obviously know what a beach is, I understand the concept of beaches and I remember beaches I've been to but when I'm forced to imagine one there's nothing. Same thing with faces... I can't actually imagine anyone's face, I know what my dad's face looks like but if you want me to describe him good luck because unless he's right next to me I literally can't see it. I want to reiterate though that I'm not faceblind. Recognising faces has never been a problem, it's just when it comes to remembering faces I don't have the minds eye to help me, I have to go through pure memory. That's okay for faces I see every day, but for faces I only see a couple of times a year it can be hard.

My sister for some reason wanted a man necklace for christmas, so I remembered my old gold chain my dad bought me but I never wear because I don't like chains.

As I took it out to check if it was tarnished I remembered the other reason I never wear it, because it's really fucking heavy.
32g of 9 carat gold.

I started to wonder how much it was worth, so I looked on a few quids for gold websites and discovered its scrap value is over £300.
Well... she's only my half sister.

She's 14, she's gormless and well lose it (she managed to lose a leather jacket somehow not long ago), and we've never really gotten on.

Went in for a haircut, asked for my usual - just a razor cut, nothing fancy. 5mm on the sides and back, 7mm on top.
The barbers I went into is full of greek or turkish or whatthefuckever, I don't even know. Foreign and vaguely eastern. I've had decent cuts out of there before, but my usual guy wasn't in. The guys there were fuckin' mystified at my request for a simple fuckin' buzzcut.

Guy was like , okaaay but how about... and... while skeptical, figured fuckit, let's give it a go. Side-parted it, trimmed it, did it with the scissors, great. Fringe looked a bit odd but he managed to make me not look like Adolf Hitler, so it was fine.

Until I got out of the shower this morning and found it was a cut that only looks good if you comb it a particular way and blowdry it.

long story short I just dug out my clippers, set the guard to maximum and just blasted the fucking thing all over my head. Clogged a couple of times cause it's only really a meant as a beard trimmer and now there's hair all over my sink but fucking hell

I need either a good set of clippers or a barber who'll take instructions without fuckin' arguing when I say I just want a goddamn razor cut. Fuck "hairdressers", I want a goddamn barber.
