Bouncing a little between XCOM 2 and Stellaris, what with each games new expansions. I'm also gonna be coming back to Team Fortress 2 this month, in hopes of Scream Fortress being actually good this year, and because I'm nostalgic. Overwatch hasn't been doing it for me as of late.
I'm sure this has already been said, but I'm probably gonna pick up Cuphead too. Looks fucking fantastic. Anyone here got it yet? What does it play like?
its hard as balls, but pretty fun. its been said before but you can really tell that they put a lot of effort and passion into the game.
basically you progress through overworlds super mario-style and select stages, most of them bosses with some more "traditional" platformer levels inbetween that you can get coins in to purchase upgrades. the only flaw i can really see is that its pretty short, but its still very much worth the money imo. never really feels like "cheap" deaths so much as just you forgot an attack pattern and didnt dodge/parry correctly.

Last time I played the VS had a no-bullet-drop sniper rifle that was an instant headshot kill up to 220m even with a silencer on.
Did I mention it had unlimited ammo?
A few snipers behind the enemy lines can really piss off people when they take cover from incoming fire and then die anyway while the screen cams to a tiny little speck far away
Most players can't be arsed to go hunt down the sniper, they'll assume someone else does it. Meanwhile the snipers have thinned the enemy line and that helps push
FInally got a Switch and playing through Zelda now. It’s such a departure from the usual formula that while it’s pretty fun, I also miss a good dungeon.
Specifically, LOSING a war, and especially if you cede territory, causes revangism(Spelling is fucked, whatever). Which boosts fascist rebel chances
You may also need high consciousness/literacy, or they will spawn as other rebels. I'm pretty sure almost every single other rebel faction gets priority over the fascists

As German I find this highly amusing.
They keep voting in liberals. I haven't had a socialist party in once despite the millions of communist revolts (I don't know if that meant I killed off a significant proportion of both shades of red voter). I still have most of the social policies to pass.
And now you know how the Germans feel today
But a few things
First, yeah. Your techs and social policies will reduce militancy and revolts while allowing consciousness to stay up
Second, you get a cool new flag if you go fascist. Who wouldn't want that?
And third, I remember there was a tech requirement to unlock fascism too. But I forgot which it was. You'll really need to align everything just right for fascism to happen
Except it's a tiny country so every time the government raises sales tax with the idea that it will bring in more money, it actually reduces the amount of tax income they get
You may ask- Why?
And I will tell you
It's an hour and then some by car to get to Germany, where these taxes are way less than here. It's already considered completely normal to go to Germany once a month to go shopping, but with the next tax hike it will become weekly

listen up you green dicked gremlin fuck
i can tell you've never played wow because that's EXACTLY the type of shit someone who never even tried PvP or PvE to any high level would say.
Old wow was complex as fuck.
if you think about it every game is "my numbers are better than yours", like csgo - your aim is located on the correct xyz position and your bullets land on the enemy

Yeah, and SS13 your click is located on a computer with the best ping to the server :^)

on the arrival shuttle, I saw the iconic toolbox on the ground. I clubbed myself in the head with it trying to figure out the controls.
Setting the tool box, now bloodied, back on the table; I went to heal myself with a medkit. I clubbed myself in the head with that too.
I've come a long ways from asking how to switch hands.

The HoP just toolboxes someone to death out of nowhere, then gets speared by a chemist who saw him murder a guy, then the chemist gets beaten to death because someone else saw him kill the HoP.
Tele-man somehow dies and gets its looted by an atmos tech who managed to use it to send two nuke ops to lavaland, who were then surrounded by several very angry people from earlier and some extra golems on top of it.
Captain dies, gets cloned/revived, lasers the guy holding the disk into crit to take it back.
Some idiot tries to welderbomb the AI hiding out at mining for no discernible reason.
Two permabans and a dayban, i'm expecting a snarky appeal from one of them soon. What the fuck.

have you tried not gatekeeping the shit out of somebody having fun doing something they enjoy
Have you not butting in on the ribbing between two old fags?
Or just generally getting offended on others behalfs like that cunt from the Simpson's?
it's not exactly easy to distinguish "ribbing between two oldfags" and "I'm going to attack this guy over nothing like half the people on the forums do" when I don't know you that well
I remember when negative resistances was a thing and I played warlock
16k damage crit shadowbolts were amusing. Instantly killed everything except the tankyest of warriors at the time
That amused me a lot at the time
Also 3 hour+ queues for that same valley
You could log in after going to sleep and it'd still be the same match that you fell asleep playing.
They REALLY dumbed it down to the point it's not even recognizable anymore. Nobody does anything on the map besides immediately zerg rush the other team's leader to win as fast as possible.
in advance of my eventual forum ban, I just wanted to say

Well this doesn't bode well for my future subscriber status.

That's kind of a given in every game
I've been playing Final Fantasy XIV and I've been to dungeons where the rest of the group went ahead and finished the entire thing while I was in the cutscenes with the boss introducing himself. The dungeon almost timed out before the cutscenes finished

Yeah, this is exactly what happens in wow right now, in all dungeons (before like latest expansion I guess). It doesn't bother me, since I've seen them all and just want to level. But if I was a new player it'd be really lame. New player experience is really shit right now.
