At the end of the day you need to get good, and you can get that Song creeping at 1 knot 3 nautical miles away in a first shot.Grazyn wrote:"Alright let's manually steer this torpedo. At the end of the day you're better off just pinging them or wait for them to shoot first and launch on bearing

people who act as if the story's second half being poor ruin the game piss me the fuck offQbmax32 wrote:I just bought MGS 5. Good choice or no?

The second half didn't "ruin" the game, per-se, but it certainly would've been a far more complete-feeling product if they just kept the game to the first chapter or whatever they called it. The integrated multiplayer bullshit is something that I had far more objection to though, despite it never being an issue to me. Just the idea of that part potentially affecting my singleplayer experience is enough.Qbopper wrote:people who act as if the story's second half being poor ruin the game piss me the fuck off
yeah that's a valid criticism and it's not like the story's issues aren't issues at allK-64 wrote:The second half didn't "ruin" the game, per-se, but it certainly would've been a far more complete-feeling product if they just kept the game to the first chapter or whatever they called it. It cheapens the experience and makes you feel you've wasted your time if that's all it lead toQbopper wrote: i have one friend who adamantly insists that the entire game was ruined by the story, including everything he did before, because apparently the story taking a dive means the hours of fun you had previously are posthumously turned into a boring slog that was a waste of time etc. etc.

jeez sawrge when'd you get so smartcaptain sawrge wrote:qbopper you have to understand that MGSV was supposed to be /the/ mgs game, the huge epic conclusion to the whole series that tied everything together. the big bang. the grand finale.
what we got was a mediocre, half-finished story that made little reference to the rest of the series on top of a game that suffered more than it gained for being open world, with a lot of unimplemented or poorly conceived ideas
its an okay game, maybe even a pretty enjoyable one, but it's riddled with flaws even from a gameplay level and the fact that the story is a barebones unfinished disaster feels like such an enormous fuck you
